Maëlle laughed out. “Don’t you know anything? My Aunt Joan’s place has been located on Murphy Street in Sunnyvale for years. Besides, all of that information that she knows can be found in the Egyptian Book of the Dead,” she said. “And I guess you never listened to me all these years when I told you my aunt’s shop is really called Aunt Joan’s Magickal Enchanted Gift’s and Things.”

Lacey sighed heavily. “Yeah, you’re right. I haven’t been listening all of these years.”

“So tell me Lacey when are you and Kienan going to see each other again?”

Lacey cleared throat. “Kill the thought. You’re just a wishful matchmaker. Who says I’m seeing Kienan again. A girl’s got to keep her options open.”

“Hmmmm…..Options,” Maëlle softly murmured. “Well, we both know Kienan should be option number one and only. Kienan’s a good man. Lacey, you amaze me how obtuse you can be sometimes.”

The phone line grew quiet.

Lacey’s voice grew solemn as she continued. “Come on Maëlle, you know Kienan’s still a womanizer.”

Maëlle cleared her throat. “Maybe he’s changed. At least give him a chance.
