Review:

When I first started this book I wasn't sure what to think but as the story progresses I was highly entertained and enjoyed reading it.

Annie returns to the cottage her mother inherited when she divorced Theo's father. Before her mother passed she told Annie she has an inheritance there waiting for her but once Annie is on the island she isn't so sure. Annie doesn't really have fond memories of being there, but because of the divorce agreement she has to spend 60 days there and hopefully in that time she will find the inheritance and move on.

Annie remembers all the things Theo did to her so when she meets him again she really doesn't think he has changed.

I have to say when this story started out I couldn't get past the whole puppets and how they were in Annie's head. I just hoped that it wouldn't turn me off to reading the entire book and it didn't. Thank goodness.

Phillips wrote another book that is filled with interesting characters that have a funny sarcastic side. I couldn't help but laugh out loud at some of the things Annie and Theo said to one another.

She glared at him. "You came inside me!"
His amusement vanished. He'd never been careless, and now he was the one who felt stupid. It put him on the defensive. "I wasn't exactly planning on this happening."
"You should have! Even now, one of your little swimmers could be doing a backstroke right to my -egg!"

With all the bickering and bantering between these two I have to say I enjoyed them both very much. I looked forward to seeing what would happen and when it would happen. I was cracking up when Annie would come home to the cottage and she would find her puppets in poses that Theo put them in.

It took a while for these two to finally get together but it made it worth it. All of the back and forth was like foreplay for them. They had such great chemistry.

I loved the idea of the mystery behind the inheritance and what it would be. Also I wanted to get to the bottom of why Theo did all those horrible things to Annie and who was behind messing with her now. Believe it or not all my questions were answered and this story was wrapped up nicely.

Overall I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it for all fans of SEP. If you love a good laugh, sarcastic characters, a little mystery and most of all a happily ever after then this is the book for you!
