BLURRED LINES
Lauren Layne
Releasing Aug 25th, 2015

In
a novel that’s perfect for fans of Abbi Glines and Jessica Sorensen, USA
Today bestselling author Lauren Layne delivers a sexy take on the timeless
question: Can a guy and a girl really be “just friends”?
When
Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the
connection is immediate—and platonic. Six years later, they’re still best
friends, sharing an apartment in Portland’s trendy Northwest District as they
happily settle into adult life. But when Parker’s boyfriend dumps her out of
the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben’s no-strings-attached approach to
dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can’t seem to get
the hang of casual sex—until she tries it with him.
The
arrangement works perfectly . . . at first. The sex is mind-blowing, and their
friendship remains as solid as ever, without any of the usual messy romantic
entanglements. But when Parker’s ex decides he wants her back, Ben is shocked
by a fierce stab of possessiveness. And when Ben starts seeing a girl from
work, Parker finds herself plagued by unfamiliar jealousy. With their
friendship on the rocks for the first time, Parker and Ben face an alarming
truth: Maybe they can’t go back. And maybe, deep down, they never want to.

Review:
I loved this book! Not only because it was about friends but how they go through the journey to finally get what they both want.
When you meet Ben and Parker you can tell they have a connection that is deeper then friendship ... Well at least Ben does from the beginning. Even though Parker has had a boyfriend for 5 years that doesn't mean Ben isn't kicking himself for not making a move years ago. Their relationship as friends is easy and the the banter is funny!
When they finally get together they have explosive sex and the easy going friendship they have always had. Things start to get a little stained when they are on the last night of parkers family vacation and you can finally see the feelings they have been trying to hide. When they return parkers ex is there asking for a second chance but Ben lets her go without saying that he is in love with her.
I loved the characters and the writing. I loved how we got to hear from both Parker and Ben and got to really see what they both were thinking the whole time when they are on the journey of friends to lovers.
I hope this will be part of a best friends series because this author did an awesome job writing this book. This book is a great read and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
