Description
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton brings her trademark blend of funny and sexy to this second contemporary romance in the brand-new Hudson Valley series!
Manhattan’s It Girl, Natalie Grayson, has it all: she’s a hot exec at a leading advertising firm, known industry-wide for her challenging and edgy campaigns. She’s got a large circle of friends, a family that loves her dearly, and her dance card is always full with handsome eligible bachelors. What else could a modern gal-about-town wish for? The answer, of course, is...cheese.
Natalie’s favorite part of each week is spending Saturday morning at the Union Square Farmer’s Market, where she indulges her love of all things triple cream. Her favorite booth also indulges her love of all things handsome. Oscar Mendoza, owner of the Bailey Falls Creamery and purveyor of the finest artisanal cheeses the Hudson Valley has to offer, is tall, dark, mysterious, and a bit oblivious. Or so she thinks. But that doesn’t stop Natalie from fantasizing about the size of his, ahem, milk can.
Romance is churning, passion is burning, and something incredible is rising to the top. Could it be...love?

Review:
I really don't know what rock I have been living under to have never read a story by Alice Clayton but all I can say is that Cream of the Crop was the perfect introduction to Clayton's fabulous writing. When I read the blurb I was like oh this sounds interesting and different I'm going to give it a try and I'm so happy I did.
This story was super cute and funny. Right away I swept away in Natalie's head and loved her thinking process. If I were to have a book girlfriend list she would definitely be on it. Her personality shown through every thought and comment she made. She was successful, smart, and most of all comfortable with herself. I loved how confident she was except when she was at the farmers market getting ready to get her Brie fix from sexy Oscar. Clayton really brought her to life on every page.
Oscar oh man is he just freaking hot. I really thought his first interactions with Natalie were adorable and when they "officially" met for the first time all I could wonder is when this two would end up between the sheets. I also really loved learning about him. While he wasn't so open at first I love how Natalie didn't give up and started to unfold all the layers he was made of.
Normally when I read some romance stories the women are thin or well portioned but I really love how Clayton described Natalie and gave her so much power as women and not only with her career but sex. It was open and honest and really drew me in. The minute I started reading this book I couldn't put it down that's how much I enjoyed this book.
I loved the funny moments and there were plenty throughout the story. I was going to pick a favorite but now thinking back I can't because they all were my favorites. This story wasn't just cute and funny but super damn sexy and those scenes didn't take away from the romance that was building between Natalie and Oscar which was a total plus!
I'm really looking forward to reading more of this series and especially looking forward to reading more stories by Clayton in the future. Honestly I highly recommend this book and I hope everyone loves it as much as I did! Happy reading!
