HAPPY EVER AFTER IN CHRISTMAS Review & Giveaway with Debbie Mason

Happy Ever After in Christmas

Christmas, Colorado #7

By: Debbie Mason
Releasing June 28, 2016

It's beginning to look a lot like love . . .

As her thirtieth birthday approaches, Deputy Jill Flaherty decides it's time to live a little. When she walks into Sawyer Anderson's bar in her sexiest dress, she's not thinking that he's her brother's best friend or about the many women he dated during his years as a pro hockey player. All she's thinking is that it's finally time to confess to her longtime crush how she truly feels.

Sawyer is done being a player on and off the ice. Yet no one in the small town of Christmas seems to believe he's ready to settle down, not Jill, and certainly not Jack, who is determined to keep Sawyer from breaking his little sister's heart. But as Sawyer and Jill's relationship heats up, can he prove that he's her happy ever after?

love coming back to Christmas, Colorado and with each new story the more I want to move there. Mason really out did herself in this new installment. In this story we get tough as nails deputy Jill Flaherty who falls for her brothers best friend Sawyer.

Jill has always loved Sawyer but he has only ever seen her as his best friends younger sister. As Jill approaches thirty it's time to finally ask Sawyer out, but it's not going to be easy. While Jill is making plans to get up the nerve to ask him out another is moving in. Jill decides after a big fail to finally try to move on only to have Sawyer start to sabotage her dates with other men one by one. But Jill's big brother just might stand in there way of HEA.

I've probably have said this before but this might be my favorite book in this series. I loved Jill and thought she was an excellent heroine who was strong and willing to put herself out there. Sawyer came off as a playboy but he actually wasn't. Once this story got going I couldn't put it down and found myself wondering how and when these two would finally get together.

As far as drama goes this book had just enough for my taste with some surprises thrown in. It also included some of my characters from previous books that this series just couldn't do without. The road to Jill and Sawyers romance was a bit bumpy but definitely worth the wait.

Also during this book we get to know a little more about Nell. While she seems content on being alone in previous books after reading Happy Ever After in Christmas there is definitely more to her own story. Knowing this made me like more from previous books and glad that just maybe she will have her own HEA in the end.

This story was entertaining and had some really cute moments that kept it going. One of my favorites is when Jill dresses up and gets a little drunk. Sawyer handled it well but it still seemed like just maybe he should have given in to what he actually wanted instead of trying to down play his feelings through most of the book.

Will there be another Christmas book after this? I hope so! I can't get enough of the different characters who I have come to adore. One thing Mason does well is give you The HEA that each and every character is deserved. Sawyer and Jill's was special even if some heartache had to happen for them to get theirs in the end. Of course while reading their are some surprises that I wasn't expecting but I thought they made the story better.

This was a great read and I am looking forward to more of this series!
