Let Me Review & Giveaway with Cecy Robson

Let Me

The O’Brien Family Book Two

By: Cecy Robson
Releasing April 19, 2016

Once he was broken beyond repair. Now this MMA contender is fighting to be a better man—for her. RT Book Reviews proclaims that the O’Brien Family series from award-winning author Cecy Robson “has the hottest brothers ever!” And in Let Me, it is Finn’s turn to discover how love can heal the deepest wounds.
A mixed martial arts star on the rise, Finn O’Brien dismantles his opponents with brutal precision. And yet beneath his fierce persona, Finn is raw from a trauma he’s buried for years . . . until the day his deep-rooted rage erupts and lands him in court-mandated therapy. Finn’s not one to bare his soul, but if talking it out means meeting beautiful women like Sol Marieles, he’ll give it a shot.

Sol is working toward her master’s degree in psychology, and already she feels like she’s in over her head. With an important internship on the line and a scary family situation demanding her attention, the last thing Sol needs is Finn around to distract her. The man is ripped and seriously sexy yet it’s his troubled side that warns her to keep her distance. But their attraction is intense, and he clearly has the heat to see how far and fast their passion takes them.

Alone, Finn and Sol have been fighting to find happiness in their lives. Together, there’s no stopping them as they face their greatest challenges—not in the ring, but in their hearts.

The O' Brien family is back and Finn's turn to heal and find love in book two of this new and unstoppable series by Robson. What I love most about Ms. Robson's books is that she isn't afraid to tackle some sensitive and serious issues. This one is no different and that's why I loved it.

Finn is working his way up in the MMA work but because of a childhood trauma his anger fuels his fights. He is ordered to do therapy by the court and he doesn't want too , but the only good thing about him going is that he gets the chance to see Sol who he kinda has a thing for. Sol is getting her degree in psychology and is doing her internship where Finn is attending therapy.

Sol is dealing with her own issues in the family and isn't interested in dating. By taking care of her sick mother, her father and doing the internship she just doesn't have time but charming Finn is breaking down her walls little by little and before you know they both need each other.

What drew me to these two characters was that they both were damaged in their own way. They built a connection between them that helps them try to deal with their pain in their own ways. While Finn turns to drinking, Sol works harder to find a cure for her mother by working but both are determined to get through it.

This book definitely had some dark moments when the characters aren't sure they are going to make it through their problems even as a team but I really enjoyed some of the lightness that broke that up a little. Finn and Sol have some cute lines and I really loved how Finn was into her so much.

As this series continues I start to love the characters and their challenges even more. Each member of the O' Brien family is going through something and I can't wait for more. Just knowing Robson has a light at the end of the tunnel for them keeps me coming back for more.
