Can a love built on secrets survive?
Rugged, hot, and rock hard, Dred Zander is exactly the type of man that normally sends Pixie running. Not dreaming about running her hands down his washboard abs...and lower. The lead singer and guitarist for the band Preload embodies trouble behind his quick smile and guarded eyes, and Pixie left trouble behind her years ago along with the name Sarah Jane Travers and the pathetic trailer her mom called home. With her abusive past in her past, she has a new life, a new family at Second Circle, and a dream of opening her own business. She needs capital and time. What she doesn't need is a tempting long-haired rocker or the paparazzi that follow him around.
But Dred has other ideas. Pixie's sweet hazel eyes, purple hair and kaleidoscopic tattoo of exotic flowers that swirl up her arm haunt his dreams, and he knows she wants him too. He just has to convince her. But as a juicy exposé threatens to expose their pasts, and a blackmailer terrorizes their present, Pixie and Dred have to decide what really matters and fight like hell to keep it.
Review:
I can't believe this is the third book in the series by Cole. Where is the time going?!? But already this has to be my favorite by far! We met Pixie in the very beginning and knew she had a troubled past but her story is wow! It's filled with heartbreak, loss and learning to live and Pixie did it best.
Cole managed to surpass the previous books in this series. She handed out so many emotions throughout the entire book that me laughing one minute to tear up the next. It was an amazing emotional roller coaster that made me want to go back for more!
I was glad that all my favorite characters from the previous books are doing well and moving on with their lives. Cole including them in the story at numerous times made me realized how much I missed reading about them and brought me back to their individual stories.
Dred might have come off cocky in the previous book but I really enjoyed getting to know a different side of this hot rocker. He might have a problem with his temper but oh man he can be one of the absolute sweetest guys I have read about.
I'm not sure if this is the end of the Second Circle Tattoo series but I really hope Cole will continue it. I would love to know more about the artist who are working there. Also is a spinoff possible the guys from Dred's band? All I can say is I damn sure hope so!! Cole mentions they all have a past that isn't great and I'm dying to know what they all went through and hope they all get their HEA!
