Instant Gratification (Wilder #2) by Jill Shalvis

Another fantastic read by the talented Jill Shalvis! This is the second book of this series and wow! Not only was it as good as the first but better if that is possible.

Stone is the middle brother of three who helps run the lodge.  He keeps everything running smoothly. because he is a very organized person. Although lately he thinks just running the lodge might  not be his passion anymore and would like to do something in his true passion, remodeling and flipping real-estate. He keeps this to himself  because his family and the lodge need him.

Emma is a NYC doctor that has come to the small town in the Sierras to run her doctor fathers’ clinic while he recuperates from a heart attack. She is all business but Stone does not get past her radar. Not so happy about being in this small town. Emma is attracted to Stone and that pisses her off because Stone is not her type. Stone actually likes her and wants her to loosen up, but as Stone will find out that it isn't that easy for her.
More then ever Emma is dying to get back to her regular life. After being together, each time she runs and tucks her tail because she is not able to handle the feelings that are growing for him.

I love Jill Shalvis writing.  Again she brings you another humorous and romantic treat. I love all genres, but  contemporary is a genre I want to explore more into. This series is especially great because you have so much fun while reading. Shalvis’ characters are not only fun to read about but you find a special connection with them. Stone is an excellent businessman, great in sports and always thinks about others before himself. I loved the fact he wants to show Emma she can find a place of her own in their town. *swoons* If Emma doesn't want it, I will for sure take it for her.
I loved being able to continue to get to know the characters who were also in the first book. Although he was a supp Although I am a Stone fan, I cant wait for my favorite Wilder .....TJ. Throughout the first two books you see deeper into the men they are and want to be.

Finding a good book is hard to do, but finding a good series is even harder. Not with Jill Shalvis! Book after book you will get hooked and beg for more. I am really excited to read about my favorite Wilder TJ. *drools* If you haven't read this book or this series you have no idea what you are missing.

Instant Attraction (Wilder #1) by Jill Shalvis

This is the first book in the Wilder Series and boy does it get off to a great start!

Katie Kramer is the only survivor of the tragic collapse of the Santa Monica Bridge. It her time to head off into the world and find some new adventures. It just so happens her first adventure lands her in the beautiful Sierras, working for Wilder Adventures as an office temp. But will she stay when things don't go as planned?

Cameron Wilder was
snowboarding Olympic gold medal winner who was involved in an accident that left him having to leave his career behind. Now he is back from traveling the world and trying to get his life back on track. He's lost so much, but he returns to the family business. What he didn't expect was to find Katie not only in his cabin, but in his bed.

Though they are strongly attracted to each other, they each have their own issues to overcome the traumas in their lives. The story of how they do by themselves and together is outstanding. Shalvis blesses this story with heartbreaking and humorous moments.
I’m glad she made their struggles so realistic. I think besides the romance that was the best part of the story. You want to be able to connect to the the characters in some way or another and connect you Shalvis does. Their attraction happens to be instant but slowly acted upon. Shalvis lets the sexual tension build that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Jill Shalvis is one of my favorite authors. Her books are absolutely fantastic, the dialogue is witty, the love scenes are oh so steamy, and the characters so much fun to get to know. The only parts that I wasn't to fond of where the ones with Serena. I did not take a liking to her at first even though she is Cameron's ex-girlfriend. But when Serena spends time with Katie I began to see the picture in clear form. One of my favorite scenes is when Katie (who doesn't drink) happens to get drunk with her. I was laughing at loud.

I just loved Katie and Cam. Katie had such determination to try new things and to try not to be afraid of them. Cam was such sweetheart as the story progressed even considering the life he has been living.

Jill Shalvis should be on every one's to read list. Her books keep you interested from the beginning to the end. Because of her I have decided I want a Wilder of my very own. I am really excited to finish this series and even move on to another series by her. I would recommend this book for sure.

Long, Lean and Lethal by Lorie O'Clare

If I thought Justin was hot in the first book, sexy Special Agent Noah is such a great runner up I might have to have a claim on him as well.

Neither FBI agent Noah Kayne nor local policewoman Rain Huxtable are particularly happy when they are forced to partner up on a big case. But a serial killer seems to be stalking a swinging community in Nebraska. They have no choice but to shack up and play a married couple to catch this killer. While working undercover the sparks between these two send them both into a serious attraction and the tension mounds. Getting inside the swingers club is easier then either one was expecting. Now with four dead swingers, Noah and Rain must put this killing to a stop but it proves to be far more difficult than they expected.

Lorie O'Clare mixes action, mystery, and of course romance. The sexual tension between Rain and Noah is so off the charts you could cut it with a knife with it. The romantic scenes are scorching!!! *swoons over Noah*  At first Noah and Rain each fight for dominance both in and out of the bedroom. But as the story progresses each will take their turns being dominant.

I loved this story as much as the first one. Noah and Rain are perfect for each other. O'Clare brings such a special treat involving the FBI and local Law Enforcement you cant help to fall in love with them both. Both tough, passionate and willing to do what they have to do to overcome the situation they have been put it. I hope the third book is just as good. I am also hoping this series will grow and grow.

Fans will enjoy the escapades of two law enforcement officials finding love while working on this case together. If your a sucker for a man in uniform, passion and romance this is the book for you.

Strong, Sleek and Sinful by Lorie O'Clare

I wasn't really to sure about his book. I had read the first one and caught my attention right away nut this not so much. Then finally getting into it, I had a hard time putting it down. I loved how close to home it hit these characters.  I love the whole Alpha male thing as well. Perry is a hot one at that. This is one steamy hot action packed read, one that will keep you interested and not being able to turn the pages fast enough. A killer a waits...

In this book Kylie is posing as a collage student to help bring down a man that kidnapping teens and killing them. Well let me tell you it sure surprised me when I found out who. Kylie is an outstanding FBI agent. Kylie happens to befriend Perry's nieces. And this is only to help her in write a thesis on teens, but Kylie begins to really care for the girls. From here the story just seems to suck you in. She wont be able to hide who she really is much longer.

Lieutenant Perry finds a teen porn site and whats to put a end to it once and for all. When Perry sees Kylie at the school he is attracted to her right away. When Perry sees her with his nieces he doesn’t trust her and it just so happens she shows no signs of  being a collage student. Finding out who Kylie really is will be tricky.  Will Perry be able to handle Kylie, his nieces plus this case?

I loved how all the characters all came together even the bad ones. It keeps you guessing and guessing what will happen next. Their isn't way to much romance going on just lots of tension and attraction. And of course   getting tangled in the sheets. Now things are passed complicated whose heart is more at risk of being broken?

Such a great read. I am hoping there will be some more hot FBI agent books being released by the fantastic Lorie O' Clare.

Tall, Dark and Deadly by Lorie O'Clare

*Fans self*  I have not a clue where to begin. I ended up lost in borders romance section and found this. Cover hot (check), summary interesting, (check) and now time to pay (check). This is my first ever Lorie O'Clare book and I fell in love. I have never had a book boyfriend, but what I know is that I want the hot, sexy,  FBI Agent Justin Reece. *swoons*

Grace Jordan was kidnapped at age 18 by someone known as "Master". He kept her locked in a mansion for 5 years as a sex slave prisoner until she set it on fire, saw him burn, and finally escaped. She was tortured and shared with others. Trying to move on with her life she becomes a homicide detective. Moving to Rockville, S. Dakota, to work as a police detective is the new start she is looking for. But once she arrives a serial killer begins raping, torturing and killing women in the town where she now lives. The scary part is that this serial killer is using some of the methods used by the dead "Master". Now enter sexy FBI agent Justin Reece to help Grace solve these murders. What they both don't expect is that they both are attracted to each other.
The sex between Grace and Justin was not only Hot but Explosive. OMG!! My favorite sex scene was the on the lawn and it was hot as hell!!!!  Grace's use of her tortured past to kept an emotional distance from Justin, but that didn't stop them from humping like rabbits. I thought from sexual past it would be a issue but she seems to do it without another thought. Justin doesn't know about Grace's past just yet so when things get rough, how will Gracie react?

I loved this book. It seems like I say that a lot but I can't help it. It kind of bothered me that she didn't really express to anyone her feelings of these cases and that she said on to work them. I understand the need for privacy, especially where her past is concerned but to stay on a case that is so close to home, I gave her props.

This book is not only action filled, but had romance and mystery twist to it. I mean since she watched "Master" die, it couldn't be him, right? This is one story line that will not only intrigue you into the world of Police Officers and FBI agents but into a world of Power. But the big question is, Who holds that power?

Tall, Dark and Deadly was a four star book. I am truly excited to read more from this fabulous writer. Next book in this series is Strong, Sleek and Sinful. I am hoping this series just keeps getting better and better.

Feed the Fire by Melissa Ecker

I think there is something to say for a man in a uniform and needless to say Cade does wear it well. Not only is Melissa Ecker talented but brings a new excitement to romance. Feed the Fire is book three in this series and what a treat it is.

Olivia Andrews returns to Memory Grove for her best friend's wedding after 8 long years. She does not want to get involved with the sexy fireman Cade but finds herself in his bed. Now there is no turning back for her when some secrets come to light. Their affair suddenly turns complicated when an unexpected visitor for Cade and parts of Olivia's past come into their future. Can love actually overcome everything?

I absolutely loved the fact that we got a chance to see the characters from the previous two books. All for Olivia's best-friends wedding and while in town she has it’s the best time to return home and begin a whole new life.

Cade offers to help her out, but he doesn't realize that by doing this, will turn his world upside down. Although, Olivia has a lot of work to do to overcome her past, the one person she can count on is Cade.  Finally she is happy for the first time in a long freaking time, but is having a little trouble adjusting to her new life. She just isn't used to not looking over her shoulder every step of the way anymore.

Throughout the story, Olivia's character grows into herself and becomes the person she was meant to be. Cade is a giving man. Her true perfect match. Not many guys have the patience to help you work through issues or nightmares but he wants a partner and will be there every step of the way. But not only is Olivia dealing with  issues, but he has a few on his plate.

Feed the Fire is awesome book. From now on Melissa Ecker is on my read list. I definitely recommend this series and you will not be disappointed. I am excited to see what will come next.

Mount Up by Melissa Ecker

Now so far this book is my favorite in the series. Luke is to freaking die for. *swoons*  I just have this thing for sexy cowboys!

Mount Up is the second book in the Memory Grove series. In this installment we get to meet Natalie who is a ER  Doctor and Luke who just happens to be rodeo cowboy. Who would have thought that two different people could fall so hard under each others spell like they did.

Natalie accepted a residency in Arkansas and now she is staying. There are somethings she is still trying to work but after she meets Luke, he captivates not only her body but her mind as well. Luke is a local star in the rodeo crowd and everyone in his town loves him. After Luke gets hurt he is taken to the ER where Natalie works. She keeps cool and calm while treating this cowboy even though all of the nurses are fighting to help her take care of Luke. From the first time Luke lays eyes on her he is interested but can’t figure out why she doesn't fall head over heels for his charm.

Ecker gives you nail biting attraction and hot sex with a cowboy. When they finally get to know each other and there relation progresses the story just gets better and better. I loved the fact she made it a reality scenario so it wasn't far fetched. I loved the way they had to deal with everyday issues such as jealousy, anger, fear and the past.It was so easy to connect to both of them. I wish it never had to end because Luke is just too hot. I loved Mount Up and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series, Feed the Fire.

Pull the Trigger by Melissa Ecker

Pull the Trigger is the 1st book in  the series Memory Grove. Rebecca is newly divorced. She thought she married her first love, but come to find out he was knocking down her self image. As the story progresses, we see how he knocked her self image down over the years they were married. Taking a chance is what she is looking for and accepts Justin's invite to dinner.

Justin is a police officer in this small town where everyone knows everything about one another. He was popular in school. Now come to find out he has a connection with Rebecca and the only problem with that is well, she will be leaving in two weeks.

I totally fell in love with Justin. He was goodhearted and very patient with Rebecca in helping her move past her issues. Adoring them as a couple is a understatement, their characters just jump out at you. They were interesting and I would love to read more about them. You just can't help yourself to be sucked in.
The airport scene was one of my favorites and it jumps out at you. It was so romantic.

Ecker takes you on a journey of giving a second chance at love. Romantic, steamy and  very enjoyable read. I am keeping my fingers crossed that in her other books we get a chance to check back in on their lives. I loved how the story came together so perfectly. Who could ask for more? Wait, I can because I can't wait to read the two other books in this hot series.

Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter #3) by Nalini Singh

This is my first book by the talented Nalini Singh and I was not disappointed. I was told this series was a must read and then I received the ARC so of course I jumped right in without reading the first two. Needless to say I will be starting this series over from the beginning so I able to drool over Raphael all over again.

Now that Elena is an angel, she is young compared to others in the immortal world. With the help from her lover and archangel Raphael she is getting stronger and wiser every single day. Now that there relationship is hitting a whole new high, she must now deal with her her father, who she is not close to, and protect her younger sister.

Elena still helps the Guild track vampires even though she still is now an angel. Its hard to get away from hunting when she still have the hunter blood flowing in her veins. With the weather starting to change Raphael knows that something isn't right. Hold on tight because this is one ride you will never want to get off.

Archangel’s Consort not only made me love this serious, but has moved it to the top of my read pile. The conflict was heart pounding. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out the story about Raphael’s mother waking up. There are so many twists thrown in that not only make this a fun but exciting read.

Who said being an angel was easy? Elena is trying to find her place with the other angels. I loved the way the picture was painted. The way Nalini Singh writes is pure magic. I was overwhelmed with all these details but I happen to have loved every minute of it. I was also drawn to the way Elena tends to face off with the Raphael. He is so overprotective and so Alpha I love it. In and out of bed this man means serious business. Even with him being so powerful, I loved that he still needs Elena. The romance scenes between this two are not only powerful and intense but dark and intimate. Singh makes the passion to top the charts.

This book comes out January 25th and if you have not picked up the first two books (Angels’ Blood and Archangel’s Kiss), I suggest you go out and buy this series. I already did so and I can't wait to start from the beginning. This is a paranormal series that all paranormal fans will enjoy. Happy Reading.

Goodnight Tweetheart by Teresa Medeiros

Abigail Donovan is an Author who is down on her luck. It has been a while since her first novel was chosen as one of Oprah’s book picks. Now, Abigail can't get anyone to come to her book signings. Instead she is asked to dress up in bunny costume and reading another author’s book to children.

If Abigail can't finish her next book she will be out of a job. Now here is where it begins. Abigail’s agent signed her up for a Twitter account. She knows nothing about twitter but is still willing to give it a shot. While jumping on Twitter for the first time is where she meets Mark Baynard. Mark is a total pro on Twitter. Since Abigail needs a crash course Mark will show her the ropes. Soon Abigail and Mark are carrying on conversations that are absolutely hilarious.

This is the first book I have read by Teresa Medeiros and I loved it! I loved the fact it had to deal with Twitter. *grins* Goodnight Tweetheart will captivate you. It's not only funny and romantic, but emotional at parts. I cried. Although there is break your heart crying and happy crying don't let that put you off. It is an excellent read. I can't say enough how much I loved this book. It touched my heart and made love the characters.

You will get a complete surprise. As they are tweeting you kinda get the feeling that something is going on but you will love it because it is all apart of the mystery in there conversations. I really felt a connection to Abigail and Mark. Both were actually very appealing. I was totally rooting for them to meet and get together. Mark was a sweetheart himself. The connection they shared was genuine. The ending was great. I would recommend this book. Now that I have been introduced to this talented author, I am looking forward to reading more books she has written and the ones she will continue to write.Goodnight Tweetheart is a must read!

This Heart of Mine (Chicago Stars #5) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

I could never get bored with the Chicago Star series. It's one great book after another.

First of all, I just have got to say, this was such a  great read! This book has everything that makes a great romance and more.

Molly and Kevin’s story is a real fascinating one. The journey on how they got there is not a easy one.I thought it was sweet that they finally found what they needed in each other. At first glance, Molly and Kevin couldn’t be further apart from one another if they tried. A children’s books author, her characters you find are closely linked with Kevin’s escapades over the years, Molly has had a huge crush on Kevin as long as she can remember. Not that football jock Kevin even knows she exists. With the continuous string of the doll faced women with no brains of their own that parade through his life, Kevin seems to be at the top of his game but how quickly Molly will knock him off his game.

Molly tends to hold on a streak that has got her into trouble in the past. This is what ends her up in Kevin’s bed, seducing him in his sleep and an outraged Kevin who gets rightfully upset about being taken advantage of. Kevin makes Molly promise to him that if there ever were consequences of their coming together she would let him know, which of course Molly doesn’t when she finds herself pregnant with Kevin's baby. Finding out turns Kevin's' world up side down.

After getting married, Molly suffers a miscarriage which quickly spins her world in a downward spiral. Kevin who shakes her out of depression, takes her off on a trip to Wind Lake, and finds herself running the quaint bed and breakfast that Kevin inherits from his aunt which Kevin wants nothing to do with. Kevin and Molly finally find friendship, and finally give in to there desire for one another.

I think I might have liked Kevin too much. I could connect to both of them and I really enjoyed this fabulous journey. With so many ups and downs and the funny playful moments to keep you locked it. I really liked the part about those Daphne books Molly was writing. That was really cute and creative and showed how much he actually meant to her.
The characters are so lovable. This book just happens to be witty and adorable.Highly recommended for those who love a good romance with a witty cast of characters that could make you laugh and fill you up with plenty of emotions. Funny and heartwarming, this is must read for romance lovers.

Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

I have officially decided that I want a natural born charmer. The last book in the series is just as powerful as the first one. I wish the series didn't have to end. I could have read about these sexy football greats.

Chicago Stars quarterback Dean Robillard is the luckiest man in the world: sports superstar and the pride of the NFL and lets not forget his career as a buff billboard model for underwear. But life in the glory lane has started to come to a stop, and Dean has set off on a cross-country trip to figure out what's gone wrong in his life so he will be able to get back on track.

While traveling along this highway he comes across a woman in a beaver suit. Blue Bailey is on a mission to murder her ex.  She needs a ride, and America's most famous football playboy has an imposing set of wheels. Now, all she has to do is keep him entertained for the time of there trip.

Blue is the toughest woman Dean has ever met. They're soon heading for his summer home where their  complicated lives and attraction is ready to be entangled with his family. As the summer progresses, the wandering portrait artist and the charming football star play a high-stakes game, fighting themselves and each other for a chance to have it all.

This story makes you want to forget about your old life and concentrate on the new. As always very funny and witty parts  but then you get to the serious parts that not only break your hart but sob into plenty of tissues.

The wandering portrait artist and the charming football star play a high-stakes game, fighting themselves and each other for a chance to have it all. Dean is truly the natural born charmer. Although this book is the last it will make a great impact in the romance world.

Realistic, interesting and mind wondering! Phillips not only delivers but makes a powerful debt for the last book in the Chicago Stars series. Do I wish their was more.. well, yes of course. Do I wish I had more of an ending. Absolutely.

If your haven't gotten a chance to read this wonderful series you are missing out. Although I think it died to early this series will always be apart of my favorite books.

Nobody's Baby But Mine (Chicago Stars #3) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Susan Elizabeth Phillips brings not only a modern, youthful, and edgy story line, but keeps you captivated. I loved this book. It wasn't only a page turner, but an emotional ride that I couldn't get enough of. Heck, I couldn't even bring myself to put this down for even five minutes.

Dr. Jane Darling is a genius professor with an outstanding IQ. The time has come and Jane is finally ready to be a mother. The only problem in wanting to have a baby is that she has no man in her life for the moment. Now she needs to find a prime candidate to give her the baby she wants with a no strings attached relationship.

Cal Bonner is the current quarterback for the Chicago Stars. For his birthday his teammates decide to get him a woman. Jane sees an opportunity to seduce Cal. She tricks him into getting her pregnant. Jane thinks Cal is just a dumb jock but she will come to find out that Cal is actually a really smart man and when all is revealed the fireworks begin.

Know the couple will end up together at the end doesn't distract you away from the story. This book was not only fun with all the craziness but the ride to discovering that they actually do love each other is enjoyable.

There were some funny scenes throughout the book along with some heart wrenching ones. I am not afraid to admit that I was in tears. One of my favorite funny scenes in the story was the part with the "lucky charms" *laughs* I wouldn't want to spoil this for anyone but this story will make your emotions go on overload.

This series just keep getting better and better. Truly a fantastic read.

Dream a Little Dream (Chicago Stars #4) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Another terrific installment in the Chicago Stars series. And to think I was somehow not looking foward to reading this book. I am so glad I ended up changing my mind. Like all her previous books in this series I got caught up in the story and suddenly I was swept  into the lives of Gabe and Rachel.

Gabe is still mourning the loss of his wife and son, who died in a car accident two years prior. Rachel happens to be a widow of a faith healer, who was not only corrupted but he destroyed there town. Now back int he town where her husband ruined lives, she just wants to find the money and get out of dodge. One problem Gabe wants her bad.

This book was sad but had a warm ending. I cant even begin to tell you how beautiful and heartfelt it was. If I had to deal with every single person in one town hating me , I would have left. Rachel doesn't leave she stays strong and wanting to just get her hands on her money so she can take care of her son.

Gabe and Rachel's relationship is amazing. The only part I was unhappy with was how rocky they started out even though attraction was there. As the story started to progress all the pieces started to fall into place nicely. You also get an excellent side story about Ethan (Gabe's brother) and Kristy. The side story is fun too.

Not only will you be smitten but keep a thing of tissue near by.

Match Me If You Can (Chicago Stars #6) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

Let me start by saying this: I love romance novels. Not only are they sexy and fun, but romantic and emotional.

Annabelle Granger is a vivacious redhead who has inherited a match making business from her grandmother. Now Annabelle has decided the bossiness needs some modernizing and is finally changing the name  to Perfect For You. She just needs a big name client to help spread some buzz - that's where super sports agent Heath Champion comes in. Heath is searching for the perfect wife, and Annabelle's connections to some famous footballers and their wives, finds her way into speak to Health about hiring Perfect For You to find him his perfect wife, but little does he know she has been in front of him the whole time.

Annabelle was just adorable. I actually enjoy her quirkiness and the way she loved Heath. I wanted her to have him and live happily ever after. Not only because he was to-die-for, but because he was the perfect match for her. I was kind of upset by the little game they kept playing as if you couldn't figure out that each of them were looking at other one in a new light.

Heath tended to be a complete idiot and I am so glad he points that out to himself. Annabelle deserved the whole package and not the portions Heath was trying to feed her. I was very proud of Annabelle to sticky to her guns and not settling for those sorry portions. Heath got a chance to do a lot of groveling to win her back and that was a plus for me. If you act like a jerk like heath you are expected to grovel to make things right.

Not only does this story have great main characters but I happened to also love the secondary characters. I loved little Pippy the most. The way she was written was just too cute. I also loved that she has a certain fascination with cellphones. When those parts came in the book, you cant help to say "awww" or laugh out loud.

All in all, this was a very enjoyable read. Hilarious at times plus you get the romance that you were waiting for. This contemporary novel was fun and now I am dying to finish all the books in the Chicago Stars series now. If you haven't read this series, you don't know what your missing. ;)

Believe by Lauren Dane

Believe is a follow-up to one of Lauren Dane’s other books. I was kind of disappointed that I didn’t start the other book before this but overall it was a great read. Jude and Rori have started their lives and have settled into bliss. With them being so into family and eager to create Christmas memories and traditions of their own, Jude just happens to plan a Christmas getaway so they can be alone and celebrate the way they want to. They have plenty of privacy to entertain their Dom/sub sexual relationship.
Lauren Dane can turn up the heat ,so crack your windows because it will get steamy. Rori and Jude were such likable characters and their love for one another shines like the sun. The erotic scenes are so believable. It was a pleasure to get a peek into their lives and now I am really excited to start their story from the beginning now.

It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

I really, really enjoyed this romantic story!! It was filled with humor, romance and had some real emotional parts.

Phoebe Somerville is what most men would call a total bombshell. She has a killer body, a sexy voice, and the attitude that she can back up. What people don't know about Phoebe is that she has sexual past that she rather forget and uses her hot body and witty remarks to cover it up. After her fathers funeral she comes to find out she has inherited the Chicago Stars football team. Phoebe learns that, while her father considers her his only failure, he's given her an opportunity to make it up to him. Now Phoebe has only one season to lead the Stars to the AFC Championship or the team will go to her cousin.

Dan Celebow is the sexy coach of the Stars. The head coach of the Chicago Stars, wants nothing to do with Phoebe, believing she useless because she doesn't know about football. Dan just wants to coach his players, for the team to win, and for him to find himself a nice, comfortable, woman to finally settle down with. After  inheriting the team Phoebe takes off leaving contracts unsigned and the team wanting questions answered, Dan decides he has to bring her back to make this all work.

This book is not only heartwarming and sexy but it is absolutely hilarious. Susan Elizabeth Phillips did a wonderful job of making the sparks fly between Phoebe and Dan. Phoebe is a force of nature to be reckoned with. I loved the fact Dan was finally able to break through all the walls he has put up to keep everyone at a distance.  As for Dan, I love that he was an arrogant alpha male.He puts his players and the Stars above everything else. Now trying to fit Phoebe into this transition was very fun to read about.

This was my first book by Phillips, but I can assure you it will not be my last. I was laughing out loud hysterically many times. I liked the crisis towards the end forcing Dan to compromise his principles for what he really wants. The story was so funny and wonderfully written and it is now one of my favorites.

Next book in the series is Heaven, Texas and I am truly excited to read more about these hot football players in the windy city.

Heaven, Texas (Chicago Stars #2) by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

I am in love with Bobby Tom!!! So far in the series this is my favorite book and it’s only number two. *grins*

Heaven, Texas is book two in the Chicago Stars series. Gracie Snow, as she puts it, is a homely woman who has recently been given a chance to prove herself with a movie company and was given the difficult task of getting Bobby Tom Denton down to Texas to film a movie.

Bobby Tom is a former pro football player who had to retire because of a knee injury. At 33 years old he feels lost because football has always been his world. What is he to do now? This movie he is supposed to star in doesn’t seem to appeal to him as much as he had hoped. Not only is Bobby Tom is egotistical, selfish, and insensitive guy but he is also charming, sweet, charitable and to top it off an overall nice guy.

Needless to say, I loved it!! Bobby Tom could be my boyfriend any day. I loved every part of this humorous, yet emotional story. They make a very interesting couple. So, yes opposites do attract. When things don’t go his way it end up driving their relationship to almost breaking point. Bobby Tom ends up doing some really stupid things. Their were times I loved him to pieces and then times I just wanted to knock some series sense into him, but then I realized that he can’t help it. It take him a lot longer to understand the emotional part but Gracie, on the other hand, is the absolute opposite and thinks there is no way a guy like him could fall for a girl like her.

I found it funny that all these woman want to be Mrs. Bobby Tom Denton. What was funnier is that Bobby Tom actually asks these woman 5 questions and if they answer them right they get the chance to be his wife. My favorite part was when he finally asks Gracie the 5 questions football quiz.

There is a secondary romance for Bobby Tom’s mom with Way Sawyer. It’s really sweet!!
The story was great. You can connect with the characters in so many different aspects and that truly made the book for me. Phillips brings humor along with the sex, drama and romance to her writing. I am looking forward to finishing this wonderful series and this is a romance you can’t forget.

Explosive by Beth Kery

Beth Kery not only brings suspense to Explosive, but she brings some serious heat!

Sophie Gable is a doctor of internal medicine and Tom Nicasio is an investment advisor who just so happens to have an office in the same building as Sophie. Tom used to be an explosives expert for the NAVY. Sophie and Tom have seen each other frequently, being in the same building. It just so happens they have been attracted to each other but have never acted on it.

Taking some time off Sophie heads out to her cabin, and to her surprise Tom shows up and tell her he has to be inside her. Trying to the bottom of what is going on with Tom, Sophie wants to help him. There have been some murders of people close to Tom, and he may be next. His amnesia isn’t helping. But during this time, he has an insatiable need for sex with Sophie. And  lots of it, she is the key to getting to the bottom of what really has happened with Tom.

Tom desperately wants Sophie in so many different ways and lucky for him Sophie is more than happy to comply. The sex scenes were so hot I was wondering if I was panting and drooling. I actually could not put this little hot read down. I loved how Tom and Sophie got together, after the weeks of being attracted together and they just didn't jump into bed together. The suspense part of the story relates to murder and Tom’s adopted father being investigated for organized crime activities. I was dying to know who the murderer was and if his father was in fact involved in these activities.

I loved Tom!! I felt for him loosing some important people in his life and loved the way Sophie was trying to help him move past it. Tom was a pure Alpha male and loved every minute of it. I was relieved when Sophie took a liking to it as well. I mean who doesn't like a take charge kinda man?

Explosive was the perfect title for this fantastic read. Not only did it have some explosions but had tons of explosive sex. This is a well-written book that's loaded with some intensely steamy pages, as well as an element of suspense. An entertaining read. If you like a sexy as hell hero who will save the day, you'll love Tom as much as I did. *swoons* Thomas and Sophie, two people who both felt like they never really belonged in their families found everything they needed in each others arms.

I can't wait to read more from Beth Kery, she always knows how to get you interested and you keep you on the edge of your seat.

Unwrapped by Megan Hart

Newlyweds, Leah and Brandon are spending their first Christmas as a married couple at a ski resort in Colorado. While they have defined roles in their bedroom play, Leah is the dominate one and Brandon is all board with that. They actually have a very nicely balanced relationship outside of the bedroom. When Leah is injured on the slopes she insists Brandon continue to enjoy the outdoor activities while she hangs around the lodge. She begins to think about their lives wonders how this will affect their future.

Megan Hart writes emotional and powerful stories and in reading this novella it is clear this couple has history. But, having the chance to read the previous two books I was missing parts of their full story and so I think that is perhaps why I didn’t get into this one as much. The sex is so very erotic but Megan Hart has always set the bar very high. While this was an enjoyable, very erotic story, I feel like I would have enjoyed this one much more if I had read Leah and Brandon’s full story first but now that I know this I will be back tracking.

My Soul to Steal by Rachel Vincent

Another great addition to the Soul Screamers series! This series just keeps getting better and better if that is even possible. Rachel Vincent is Is a force to be reckoned with. She takes her Soul Screamers to a whole new level.

My Soul to Steal picks up a few weeks after My Soul to Keep leaves off. In this book Nash and Kaylee are on a break because of Nash's addiction to frost. Kaylee is unable to come to terms that he is doing better and she is not ready to start-up the relationship once again. Now enter Sabine, who just happens to be Nash's ex-girlfriend from two years ago, transfers to their school. I know, I know I was "Oh My God" as well. Sabine is literally Kaylee's worst nightmare and it just so happens Kaylee is number one on her list.

This installment keeps you interested from the first few pages. Honestly, Vincent never brings you a dull moment. I can't help but feel attached to these characters from the beginning of the series. You get a chance to watch them grow and become the persons they were meant to be. In this book Kaylee took the lead. I loved how strong she has become from the previous books. I actually did scream GO KAYLEE when she slapped Sabine but I wont say why. I also admired the fact that she didn't give into the pressures that Sabine was dishing out.

Kaylee is trying to trust Nash. I totally understood the whole trust issue, but sometimes I wanted to yell, " Are you serious? He loves you! Why are you over thinking this?". Nash, well, he is really trying to move past his addiction and to make things right between Kaylee and him. The way he spoke to her, I melted at those certain parts. What really brought me to tears is when Todd had a heart to heart with Kaylee. It must have been so hard, but I understood the confusion and anger on Kaylee's part. I also felt for Todd having to be so bluntly honest but then again that is a part of life.

Not only can Vincent keep your mind wondering, she can also make you see the world she has blessed us with. My Soul to Steal was so much more than what I was expecting. I couldn't put it down if my life depended on it. I needed answers and I needed them now. Vincent doesn't tease she leaves the best cliff hangers for what will hopefully come soon in this wonderful series. If I could read, If I Die, right this minute I would truly be in heaven. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series plus so many more to come by this wonderful author.

Precious and Fragile Things by Megan Hart

Megan Hart is usually known for her romances, but you wont find that here. Hart brings you on an incredibly intense journey filled with some serious emotions.

At first I really wasn't sure what to think about this book, but as the story progresses I was more and more intrigued. I started asking myself some serious questions that I would never thought to ask myself. What would I do in this situation? Hart opens up a whole new world for me because this could actually happen. It's life. Somewhere in the world this could actually happen.

Gilly Solomon is a stay at home mom with a husband and two kids. Sometimes wishing she could just run away. Although she loves her family her breaking point was coming fast and what she fears is becoming like her mother. While running errands with her two children, a stranger jumps in her car. Gilly isn't so much terrified for herself, but her children. Finally she finds a way to get them out of harms way, but now she is trapped with this stranger.

Todd didn't have an easy life, so that has left him in a broken state. He ends up taking Gilly to the cabin that was left to him by his uncle. Now that they are both isolated in the cabin and not to mention in the middle of a massive snowstorm the real trial between them begins. What does he want? How long will Todd keep her? Questions, questions, questions... that I can't answer because I want you to read this book.

I honestly couldn't put this down. It captures your interest in the very first couple of pages. Although the plot is heartbreaking and totally made me cry at the end, I loved every minute of it. I was actually stunned speechless on this whole story and even how it ended.

Precious and Fragile Things is a very unique and a very thought-provoking story. It will for sure will touch you in a different way. To me this is truly one of her best books and I cant wait to read what others will think about this book. Going outside your comfort zone for reading is never a bad thing, so I would like to thank Megan Hart for helping me move past it. Now I will be looking forward to see if she will writing more thought-provoking books in the future because it was a treat. This will always be a reread for me.

The Heiress (Madison Sisters #2) by Lynsay Sands

The Heiress is intriguingly delicious!

This is the Second book in the Madison Sisters Trilogy and was just as intriguing as the first book “The Countess” which was fabulously funny and sinfully sexy.

First I want to say how much I actually enjoyed this book from the very first page all the way to the very last page. Lynsay Sands doesn't only bring you in a new world that is just captivating, but she insures you will enjoy the ride one page flip at a time.

Suzette Madison is looking for a poor husband, one that she can manage and merry to get her father out of a gambling debt. Attending a ball with her sisters, she meets Daniel Woodward. She thinks that she has found all that she is looking for in him, who just so happens to be a close friend of her sister the Countesses husband. After purposing after the night they meet it is now up to Daniel to the agree to the terms that she is requesting, but the real question is will Daniel say agree?

Daniel doesn’t want the attentions of money seeking woman, so he pretends poverty and Suzette is thrilled. Now Daniel tries to gently tell her the truth all the while trying not to give in to the temptation of Suzette's charms and quick wit.

I loved the fact this book runs parallel in time to The Countess which was not really new for me, but Sands makes it so enjoyable. It was great seeing what Daniel and Suzette were actually doing in the first book and to find out their was just so much more to their story. It filled in a lot of questions that I was having while Richard and Christiana were trying to make it work between them. You also get another mystery on your hands, Who is out to ruin Daniel and Suzette's relationship?

The writing of the characters were very lovable. Suzette was honestly my favorite. She is feisty, persistent and will go to all ends for the people she cares for. Daniel is handsome, accomplished, and a man of his word. The attraction between them was nail-biting. Are they going to get together? When? I asked the questions and then finally answers. I thought as a couple they were just perfect for each other and they balanced out really well.

I was sad to see it end but then got really excited that soon we get to finally get to the bottom of the story of Lisa. She is a regular in the books, but her point of view of all the events will not only be a surprise, but extremely exciting.

This is a perfectly charming and cute addition to the Madison Sister’s Trilogy. Sands always out does herself in every book she puts out. Truly one of my favorite authors of all time and I cannot wait to read the third addition to this series. I recommend this series to all historical romance fans.

The Countess is not only funny and intriguing, but it is sinfully sexy!!

When Christiana’s mean, cruel husband Dicky Fairgrave drops suddenly dead of what they assume are natural causes, she and her sisters decide to put him on ice (literally) and go on as if life hasn’t changed except for the better.  The First night of Dicky’s death Christiana decides to go to a ball with her sisters. With Dicky being dead and all you could only imagine their complete utter shock when they see Dicky at the ball.

Richard Fairgrave has just come back from America to confront his twin brother who has stolen his identity as well as married under his name. When Richard meets his “wife” at the ball he finds her to be a little less than he expected. But with some time and whiskey on Christiana’s part, he soon finds that he really wants to keep his “wife”. Now will he have to earn her trust to get to the bottom of her and who murdered his bother.

In my book Lynsay Sands could do no wrong! I have never read a historical romance, but if all the other romances are like this, I have been missing out on so many fabulous books.  I loved the way the story was written and told. The characters are very much likable and enjoyable. The attraction between Richard and Christiana is just phenomenal and they fit perfect together. You also get a good look not only into Christiana's life, but her sisters as well. The story flowed so well I didn't realize I was turning the pages faster and faster wanting to know what was going to happen and who killed Dicky. Then having to slow down because I really didn't want it to come to the end. It kept my attention throughout the whole story and that is a huge plus.

The romance was absolutely outstanding. I couldn't get enough of how deep their emotions ran for each other. Suzette intrigued me so I am really looking forward to reading about her. Lynsay Sands just keeps you wanting more. And more do I want!

Over in all this book was fantastic, it was funny at times which I wasn't really expecting. The book wasn't all romance, it had mystery twist which I loved to pieces. This is truly a must read for not only Lynsay Sands fans, but romance fans in general. I am really looking forward to the next installment, The Heiress which is set to release early 2011.

Double Play by Jill Shalvis

Play Ball!!

This was a great contemporary romance. Since I happen to love Baseball myself, I had to read this book. Come to find out I would not be disappointed. Not only do you get the romance you get a view inside the baseball season.

Pace Martin does not need any distractions while in season. He's the star pitcher for the Santa Barbara Pacific Heat's baseball team. Fighting an injury that could end his career and trying to pitch the Heat to the World Series. With lots of pressure on him already, he doesn't need Holly Hutchinson interfering in his life. Holly Hutchinson is not only good at finding secrets, but she is asked to write about them. Attraction runs deep with the two and trying to fight it because both have jobs to do and don't want romance to get in the way. When tension runs high and trust issues come into play, you have to wonder if they are a match made in heaven.

Even before this book I wanted my own baseball player (*bats eyes at Derek Jeter*), but then after reading this I am wondering where to find one. I liked the fact that this book wasn't predictable. You never new when they were going to take things to the next level. Laughing out loud is a great quality in this book, although my husband kept looking at me like I lost my mind, I truly enjoyed this. It was a very fun read.

I loved Pace and the whole nice guy thing he had going on. The only thing that bothered me was my feelings for Holly in the beginning while she was speaking to her boss, but she didn't listen to him and kept trying to find out what the Heat was hiding. Way to go Holly! Holly pretty much expects everyone around her to hide things or lie, but she doesn't come off as completely cynical or hard. On the contrary, I found her tough choices when it comes to writing her articles, the secrets, and her relationship with Pace very real. I also loved that fact that she didn't do it to advance in her writing career. Pace being a private man whose life revolves around baseball and his career wasn't the jerk I would have been picturing. He could have been a self-centered athlete, but instead he is a giving, kind man and lets not forget hot!

The chemistry is wow. Shalvis can write some steamy scenes and she certainly did not disappoint on those in Double Heat. Even with just the kissing scenes can fog up any mirror. I loved the sexual tension between Holly and Pace, in fact so much build up that they don’t even get together until you read half the book but it is well worth the wait. Then when they finally together, WOW!!! I also fell in love with a few of the secondary characters and crossing fingers some more book will be written about them.

This is a great year around read and a great book for any baseball fans. Well, actually for anyone who just loves romance.

Slow Heat by Jill Shalvis

Batter up!!

This is the second book in the series and I loved the first book, Double Play, and I was very happy to discover this one is not only just as good, but better.

Samantha McNead is a PR rep who works for a Major League Baseball team, the Santa Barbara Heat. Not only was Sam born into baseball, but she loves her job and is good at it. Wade O'Riley is the team's catcher. He's got a bit of a reputation as a playboy, and there's been a scandal involving a woman with a false claim that she's pregnant with his child. The Heat decide Wade needs some good PR for once and Sam is just the woman for the job. She is to pose as his girlfriend for a month. What many people don't know that one drunken night they slept together. Now with all the pretending, will the two end up involved?

I loved this story!! I fell for Wade from the first book. You could see their was a spark but both were so willing to leave it alone. Wade is a easy-going,  down-to-earth, and giving man despite his fame. Sam, however, was his opposite. She tended to be a little bit on uptight side of things. All in all she loved her job and cared about all the players. I agreed on her reasons to try to fight the relationship with Wade, but Wade would not give up and I loved him more for that. *squee* I enjoyed Sam and Wade's interaction together. They had a lot of sexual tension, humor and the emotions they experienced. Of course again, Jill Shalvis can bring the laugh out loud humor.

There were a few surprises that were thrown into the book and I loved that. It never had a dull moment. The only thing I felt surprises never really got wrapped up. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to assume everyone lived happily ever after (but I did that anyway). I also was interested in some of the other players and wondering if they will also have a book.

I loved this book more than the first only because I love Wade. I mean who wouldn't want a sexy former player that turns into a one woman man. Not only that but the way he was with her was sweet. I also found myself saying "awwww" through story. I love stories with happy endings and Jill Shalvis can deliver them.

Slow Heat was a fun, sexy and kept me turning the pages, I can't recommend this enough.  I really enjoyed it to the very last page. *sigh* Jill Shalvis is always on my to read list.

Holiday Sparks by Shannon Stacey

This is my first Shannon Stacey story and I loved it! It was perfect for getting me into the holiday season.

Chloe Burke returned to the small town in Maine where she grew up to house sit while her parents are on a cruise. After having some electrical problems, she contacts a local electrician, who happens to be a hunky former classmate she couldn’t remember. Scott Quinn had always had a crush on Chloe in school, but back then he wasn’t much to look at, and she was one of the cool kids. Chloe decides to pay him to rewire her parents’ house as a Christmas gift to them. The constant interaction between the two results in an agreement for a no strings fling that would end when Scott finishes the job in three weeks and Chloe’s parents return home to spend Christmas with her.

The gift they ended up giving each other had me saying "awwww". These two were really just too cute. I was dying for them to finally get together. After the # weeks were up I actually asked out loud, "What will they do?" but of course Shannon Stacey had a plan. Even though Scott preferred his small town life and Chloe preferred her life in Boston, they were willing to do whatever it took to make it work.

The passion they feel for each other is phenomenal. Both Chloe and Scott are lovable characters, and so many amusing parts that had me grinning. The novella was good I wished it was longer. Chloe and Scott are very lovable characters. I loved that they were normal people and reading about their love story made me all giddy inside. I mean 10 years having a crush and then finally getting the girl. Who could ask for anything more enjoyable. The sparks between them made every page of the book a real pleasure to enjoy.

The end so romantic so of course I recommend this book to all those who love Holiday themed stories.  :-)

Atlantis Unleashed by Alyssa Day

So far this is my favorite book in the series. It continues on the bigger story of overcoming the vampire threat on humanity and finding out how to raise Atlantis. This starts with the story of Lord Justice, in the previous book he was taken away by Anubisa for an eternity of torture.

In the previous book we came to find out that Justice's big secret was he is also a Prince of Atlantis which makes him Conlan and Ven's brother. Dr. Keely McDermott is an archaeologist from Ohio, who has a strange connection to a wooden fish carving, and has an extraordinary gift. Justice is from Atlantis, who's also part Nemeid, which mean he has the mind of two souls. Justice and the other warriors fight vampires who want to take over the world. Keely is sent to Atlantis to find another stone to unleash Atlantis. Keely and Justice are attracted to each other from the beginning but they tend to butt heads. While looking for the stone they end realizing their destiny.

From the beginning the story it had me drawn to both Keely and Justice with such strong emotions that I knew I was going to love this story to pieces. With every page I flipped I went deeper into the world that Alyssa Day created. This is a fantastic new paranormal series that you're going to love.
The romance was good, but the heat and passion between Keely were great. This is for sure one of my favorite series.

Day brings out the alpha in Justice but he is still very much aware of his weaknesses and flaws. He is dominant and he has a great sense of humor. I loved the fact that Keely was almost just as protective as Justice was for her. It had so many "awwww" parts, I couldn't keep myself from giggling like a little girl.

Keely had a dry sense of humor that I couldn't stop myself from laughing. She was also strong, determined, and had so much courage she couldn't contain it. The bantering between the warriors is another one of my favorite parts. Justice, is well yum! And he has blue hair! *winks* I love it! I loved the Justice cared for her and tried to hold on to what sanity he had left just for her. It was so touching and very intense.

You get a chance to fall in love with the secondary characters. I am truly excited to read more of this series and get a chance to read about the other Warriors of Poseidon. The story keeps building and building you just fall right into step as if your right along with them and that was a total plus for me.

Alyssa Day really makes her sex scenes not only count, but makes them sizzling. I was waiting for them to confront Anubisa, but that didn't happen. Just maybe they will later on in the series.; *crosses fingers* As the series moves forward the plot get deeper and clearer. I think I might have an idea where this is going and I am looking forward to following the rest of the series.

Atlantis Unleashed not only has love and sacrifice, but darkness and light. It is a fun ride and I am looking forward to Atlantis Unmasked.

Atlantis Unmasked by Alyssa Day

I had a little trouble getting into this book, but I didn't want to move past it and go to the next because this is a series that should be read in order to paint the bigger picture. As the story progressed I became more involved so I was very happy. *smiles*

Alexios is an Atlantean warrior, one of several that help protect Prince Conlan. He was a prisoner of the vampire goddess Anubisa for two years. Alexios bares the scares from his torture. The left side of his face is horribly disfigured while the right side is still beautiful. Alexios is usually considered the voice of reason. He's the one that can be counted on in a crisis and can always keep a cool head. He takes up celibacy as a way to cleanse his soul, but that difficult to uphold when he begins to have strong feelings for Grace.

Grace lost her brother after a vampire attack and decided to try to do whatever should could do to stop the vampires from gaining power. She does have an amazing ability when using the bow. This comes from her being a descendant of the goddess Diana.I loved the fact a goddess was put into the mix.

I loved the fact that Grace and Alexios' had known each other for month before they give into their relationship. Alexios liked her and respected her fighting ability but he wasn't romantically interested in her at that point. Some of that had to do with his distance from others.

Day gives you a teasing glimpses into the long-suffering relationship between Alaric and Quinn. That was a major special treat in this story. Alaric is the Gregori of Atlantis, and he owns every scene he is in. I do hope Day finally decides to write his story soon. Not only can't I wake for Alaric's chance at happiness and love but the other warriors who are left to find their one true love.

Although, I had trouble getting into the mix of this book, it paints such a bigger picture and it is well worth it. Day brings more adventure, love, change and romance all to light. I am truly looking forward to getting my hands on Atlantis Redeemed and start it right away! I can't get enough of this super strong, sexy warriors of Atlantis.

All She Wants For Christmas by Jaci Burton

I love the Holidays so I had to read this novella . Jaci Burton can sure bring the heat, but in this book Burton gives you a sweet, romantic, and a forgiving captivating story.

Riley Jensen is a Country singer that returns hometown after her publicist comes up with the taping a Christmas special there. Riley ran as fast as she could from a town after seeing her boyfriend in bed with her then best friend. She never looked back, never talked to them again until her publicist wanted footage for a bibliography of her hometown for the holidays. The one person she didn't want to see of course is the first one she sees, Ethan Kent. Ethan has a little girl, Zoey, who is a big fan of Riley's.

Ethan can not believe she came back after 10 long years. He is still in love with her, but knows it would be best to avoid that whole side of things. Then she can leave and continues her singing career. However, wanting to make his 7-year-old daughter happy, he takes her to see Riley. Will seeing each other finally offer the forgiveness they both need so desperately?

Burton takes you on an emotional but sweet holiday ride. I didn't really take to Ethan in the beginning, based on what he'd done to Riley when they were younger. But as the story progressed I was totally on board for team Ethan. After explaining he did try to find her after she ran I was puddy in his hands.

I loved Riley and the journey of life she went on. I liked the fact that something was missing in her life and that made it so real. People go through those situations everyday. I also liked the fact it was a process forgiving Ethan for what he did. Their relationship progresses slowly and perfectly.

I read this is one night because I honestly couldn't get enough of Ethan and Riley. This is such an emotional story I was in tears through half the book. Some sad tears and then the happy tears followed. Burton brings passion, love, and most of all forgiveness to a whole new level. The ending was dynamite. I wished it was longer, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will get a chance to see Wyatt and Brody, Ethan's brothers, in their own love stories. I think they need it.

For all those who want a romantic, holiday story this is the one for you. Although it's a short read, I would recommend this in a heart beat.

Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6) by Richelle Mead

ADVENTURE! SUSPENSE! SACRIFICE!

My favorite quote from the book "But I was meant for you." .

WOW! Richelle Mead's Last Sacrifice is not only breathtaking, but absolutely heart pounding. I am not even sure I could put this review into words how amazing not only this book is, but the series in a whole. Last Sacrifice gets my vote for YA of the year! Mead not only did a fantastic job of letting us into this world she has created, but ended this series with an explosion.

Rose has been locked away and waiting on word to start her trial for murdering Queen Tatiana. If Rose only new her friends are planning the great escape so they could clear her name. Rose has always protected Lissa and now its time for the roles to reverse. Breaking Rose out of prison is only the first step to clearing her name and finding out who actually killed the queen. Adventure after adventure, it just doesn't stop.

Anger, anxiety, fear, joy, love, pain, loss and healing, Mead has it all. Never a dull moment. Just when you think things are going a certain way, they change. The suspense was killing me through out the book and I never wanted to put it down. Reading this one times was not enough. I will have to revisit this series over and over.

From the first chapter you can feel what Rose was experiencing and wanted. Emotions run high in this book.  Everything that was ongoing in the series was answered which has so many pluses!! Who is the illegitimate child of Eric Dragomir, who murdered the queen, why was Rose set up, whats to become of Lissa and the question that is on everyone's mind, does Rose end up with Adrian or Dimitri. Yes, she finally ends up with someone. Of course I super happy on how the series ended.

This is definitely a book I can assure you will love and not be able to put down. It takes a lot for me to be stunned silent after reading a book, but this book did it. This book doesn't just top the charts, it reaches a whole new plateau. I wish this series didn't have to end, but all great things must come to an end at some point in time. Do not fear this wont be the last of these characters we have grown to love. Mead is currently working on the spin-off series, Bloodlines, which will be out late summer/early fall of 2011.

Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis

Simply Irresistible is a fun new series that I couldn't get enough of. I was told I had to read this and that I would love it. Well, I sure did! With this being my first Jill Shalvis book I was very pleased.

Its time for Maddie to start over from the beginning. After she breaks up with an abusive boyfriend and looses her job Maddie has sworn off men. Now she is heading to Lucky Harbor where her mother has left her and her half-sisters an inn. Now its time to decide if they should sell the inn or fix it up and make it home where she can start over fresh, but convincing her sisters will be a battle she is ready to take on.

Jax meets Maddie after she first comes to town and is very interested in her, but since she was just coming out of a relationship, Jax has to take things slow with her. The good part is that Jax not only has the patience, but the determination to win her over. Not only is Jax super hot, but he wears many hats in Lucky Harbor.

I loved Maddie and Jax from when I opened the book. The chemistry between them is total hotness. The sex scenes can fog up mirrors. I liked that they both had unwanted pasts that were trying to overcome to move forward. All couples have issues and I loved that Jill Shalvis was able to make it all real and made you feel like you were living in Lucky Harbor. The supporting characters were also fun to read about. I  found myself getting caught up in the stories of Maddie's sisters Tara and Chloe. It added so much more to the story. Now to wait for their books will be torture.

The "big secret" that was being hidden was killing me. I almost had to ask someone what it was *laughs* but overall it's finally answered at the end which sets up nicely for book two, The Sweetest Thing (Tara's story) which is due out April 2011. Waiting until April will be killer, but I am positive Jill Shalvis will make the wait well worth it.

If you haven't read this fantastic romance I would advise you to head to your local bookstore and buy it. Believe me you will fall in love with Jax and Maddie. This is the perfect love story!

Hungry for You by Lynsay Sands

I never thought that Lynsay Sands could ever out do her last release, but again I was wrong. Not only did she out due her last book (and I loved that one) ,but she just flew to the top.

Alex Willan is attempting to open a new restaurant. Little did she know she would be facing some untimely events before opening night. From electrical fires, to tile issues and lets not forget the wrong paint color, Alex doesn't know if she'll open up her restaurant on time or just go flat broke. Now the chef she had just promoted is taking another job just two weeks before opening night. Now Alex is on a deadline to find a new head chef.

While speaking to her sister Sam, Alex is told Sam has a guy for her to meet. The last thing on Alex's mind is to meet a man. Alex tells Sam about all her problems and Sam just happens tell her that the man she wants her to meet is a chef from Europe.

Alex and Cale were so well written. Alex is a smart, independent woman. Cale is sexy, smart and funny.

Cale was under the impression that his aunt Marguerite wanted him to visit Canada, but her real reason for having him come from Europe was to meet Alex. She believes Alex is Cale's life mate. Cale agrees to be Alex's chef, but there is only one little problem, Cale doesn't eat. After he finds out Alex is his other half he doesn't want to leave her side. Needless to say I don't want to spoil this fantastic read for readers. Finally questions are answered from The Rogue Hunter and The Renegade Hunter and it is exciting!

You also get to hear from lots of characters from previous books. Justin Bricker is one of my favorites and you hear from him as well. The story flowed from romance to love, from trust to adventure. I couldn't put it down. I finally finished it this morning at seven and needless to say Lynsay Sands just keeps you wanting more. I love the way the humor and sarcasm was incorporated in the characters. Parts in the book will actually have you laughing out loud. Now I can't wait for the next installment in the Argeneau series ,Reluctant Vampire which is due out May 31st 2011.

I would highly recommend this book for those who know and love the Argeneau Family. If this is your first time reading about these sexy immortals you will enjoy it.
