From USA Today bestselling author Laura Drewry comes a warm and witty new Friends First novel—perfect for readers of Jill Shalvis and Susan Mallery. How Forever Feels is a sweet tale about the one that got away . . . and the one that came back.

Maya McKay’s heart is as big as Jack Rhodes’s shoulders are broad. Their chemistry is out of control, but it could never work between them because Jack is more than just best friends with her cheating ex-husband—they’re like brothers. Maya, the sensitive, practical florist, has given up on love and is ready to settle for like. But now that Jack’s around again, he’s stirring up old feelings—and turning Maya’s fantasies into irresistible reality.

Jack blew his chance with Maya years ago when he stepped aside for his best friend, Will, and he’s still kicking himself about it. Maya was promised forever once before, and she got burned. But when Jack realizes that second chances aren’t going to fall out of the sky, he seizes the moment—and the woman he’s always loved—to show her how forever truly feels.

Review:
I knew I was going to love this book especially when it started out with friends quotes from the TV show.

So Maya was married to Will and now she is divorced from his cheating ass. But his best friend Jack is in town and he had always been in love with Maya. Now Maya can have a second chance at love and the family she always wanted but some secrets are revealed and who knows if Maya and Jack can overcome them.

Normally I tend not to like books with cheating spouses but this one was written well. I liked Jack when he was introduced but you can tell there was more to his story. Right away you can see he likes Maya but he is reluctant to do anything about it because of Will.

I liked Maya I thought she was strong, funny and although she made a mistake by marrying Will she opened herself up to Jack.

These two are mostly friends throughout most of the book but once they get their feelings out on the table it still takes them awhile to move to the relationship status. It was slow coming but worth the wait.

I did enjoy the characters and thought the plot was well written but by the end I still had some questions. Like why did Stella really go see Jack? After reading this book I do want to go back and get the full stories of the other characters. Although this book gives a background to them I found them interesting.

Their friendships were strong and I love how everyone just fit together. When Jack starts hanging around them the just act like he is part of the group and not new.

I enjoyed that this book took place over the holidays since they are such a special time. I did feel bad for Maya when she missed her ex husbands family since they were close.

Overall I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
