I don't know if I can express into words how long I have waited for Caillen Dagan's story and OMG  I was as lost as I was when he first was introduced. Now it this is absolutely the gate way drug into the next book (Darling) *dreamy sigh* but I am getting off track but back to the the love of my life from another world.

The latest installment in Sherrilyn Kenyon's The League series is definitely one worth reading. Let me start with what I liked about it. Caillen's story takes us back to the original cast of characters featured in her previous books. There were plenty of great characters in the original group still waiting to be explored, and now Sherrilyn Kenyon is giving me just what I wanted all along.... Caillen Dagan.

Caillen is rouge smuggler who is also so damn charming you want to choke him sometimes. The only women that hold his loyalty are his three sisters. No one can compare to them and he holds them all on the highest of the pedestal. Living  life by the seat of his pants isnt always what is cracked up to be. At the beginning of the story, Caillen is arrested and sentenced to death while taking the blame for something one of his sisters did. Just before he is executed, it's revealed he is actually wll I cant tell because it is a major part of the story (sorry). Caillen isn't really cut out for this other life but is willing to give it all he can.

During the summit that he meets Desideria, a princess from a race of warrior women. When the two of them get framed for the murders of their own parents, they go on the run, while trying to solve the mystery of who set the terrible plan in motion. This happens to bring them wayyyyy closer then was intended. Neither one can believe all the feelings come to the surface.

Ever since I stared this series I have longed and dreamed of this book. Caillen is not only sexy and fun, but his humor kept everything going. Now I wont act like I wasn't disappointed in a few things. Well, for one the sex was kinda missing something. Yeah they had it but it lacked some passion that Kenyon usually brings to the table. Also Kenyon usually writes dark and sexy. I felt this book lacked the dark and sexy. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it all the way to the end but I wasn't left as satisfied as I usually am by reading her books. 

It was great to see the characters again from the first 4 books. You can't help but miss Syn, Sharhara, Nykyrian, Hauk and Darling. The epilogue is set up for Darling's book and I have mentioned how excited I am for that. Although I am a tad confused on that will happen but you have to read this to know why I feel that way. I just hope all the unanswered questions about him are revealed. I am looking forward to continuing the series. Way to go Kenyon! Your books rock!

Marc is not only charming but very sexy. And he is a former FBI agent that wants to be back in the game. He left the FBI because of his first wife. Now Special Agent Colton Lang has an assignment for him. It is plain and clear his only job is to find Devyn Sterling and bring her back to the states ..no questions asked. With no background on the case Marc ends up going in blind to try and convince Dev that Ireland is not the place for her. Is Marc the man for this job or will he get caught up like he did with his first wife?

Devyn Sterling is the daughter of one of the FBI's most wanted, but she is on her own assignment over in Ireland. On a trip to Ireland she determined to find the missing pieces to a puzzle she has been dying to figure out. Not only does she want these missing pieces to come together but she needs it so she can stop being so cold. When the puzzle finally all comes together will it be enough to make her whole and warm?

Fan Freaking Tastic!! Getting into the book was never a issue. From the first chapter I was interested and invested.  Half way through the book I realized this is book two in the series so yes its true I didn't read book one. But I will now. I want to start the story from the first book. I wasn't lost, but it came to the point that I just wanted more. 

What can I say about sexy FBI agent Marc. Hot, Sexy, and not even predictable.  The attraction between him and Devyn was suspenseful. I keep going going okay now...okay now. The anticipation was killing me. Very well drawn out but never boring. It is just enough to keep you on edge for what is about to come. And even than you aren't really ready. 

The plot was never dull. One thing after another. Or another problem to solve. Truly captivating. I found myself actually gasping out loud at many parts. *With the husband looking at me like I was choking.* You think it will go one way but totally makes a u turn and your caught watching it unfold from side of the road. Not only is this a romantic suspense adventure but it is also heart stopping.

Now he has to work even closer with Vivi to catch a killer than he has before. Will working this close with her remind him of the past he never wants to relive or the future he might actually want?

Another excellent read by the great Roxanne St.Claire!! This series I have a feeling will quickly become of one of my favorites. It's fun, exciting, and for sure a page turner. I can't get enough of The Guardian Angelinos series. And to think this is only the third book!! I can see this series not having a end anytime soon. It is amazingly addicting!

What can I say about sexy FBI Agent Lang other than he is Hot, Sexy, and has a heart breaking past.  The attraction between him and Vivi was noticeable from, Shiver of Fear. I was so extremely excited I didn't have to wait forever to finally find out what the deal is with Agent Lang. St.Claire knows how much to keep you on your toes without making the story an over detailed mess.

Another addicting plot that I was wasn't able to get enough of. I was memorized and defiantly along for the ride is a understatement. The action and adventure never stop. I so loved how the romance played out. I mean sexy FBI guy falls for a girl who not only lives on the edge but is his complete opposite. Win! Emotions ran high do to both had shaky pasts but were they able to get through it? I can't tell as much as I really want to.

I actually invested myself into all the characters in the series. All were so likable in their own way. I am now dying to read about Gabe. Now I don't want to give anything away but Gabe will be fun to read about. I mean he just came home to take part in the security firm and he has also played a big roll in this book.*keeps fingers crossed his story will be next*

Roxanne St. Claire gives you everything you could want in a romance. Suspense, romance, emotion and I can't forget adventure. It is all rolled into one incredible story after another that will take you on a wild ride that you wont want to end. Now I that I finally have my answers of why I have never read her books...I can guarantee that will never happen again. Welcome Roxanne St.Claire to my auto buy list and I hope she becomes a part of yours as well.

I don't even know where to start.  The one thing I didn't like was the fact it was so short, but hey it is a Novella so that was expected. It just kinda sucked when you feel you are getting sucked in to the story the end is drawing near. Too near to satisfy all your cravings.

Korina is a Doctor in a hospital, when a wounded man and Morrow come in. It's obvious he needs her help, but by doing that it could throw her right in the middle of war. Dusk Warriors attack them in the ER. *gasp* It's too late to go back and it is far too late to pretend nothing has happened between them. They never said saving the world was going to easy. 

Korina and Morrow have an instant attraction to each other the second they meet. I liked that Korina was a strong female character and that was a big plus. Believe me Morrow takes notice of that immediately as well as the soldier that is inside him. Morrow never attempts to keep her out of danger with the Alpha male attitude that she must be protected when things start to get a little messy. Korina is for sure a strong female who is capable of taking care of herself. Also when its time for the battle suiting up and fighting along side with him is where she should be. 

Korina and Morrow, are both fighters in their own way. I wish this book would have been longer, so that the relationship between them would have taken its time to develop and not felt so rushed. But on the other hand, I got the chance to understand and got to feel the fear and feelings that were involved. So overall it all worked out in the end.

While reading this novella, I found some lines were way too good to be forgotten so I took notes but then realized I picked parts well that shouldn't be included because I don't want to ruin this for others. But I really did enjoy reading it. I just wish it didn't take me so long to get to it. Taken to the Limit does a really nice job with building the world and fighting a war. I liked reading about Earth as they know it. Another interesting part is how these Aliens plant their seeds. That really turns out to be interesting.

 
Taken to the Limit is a very good start for a series that has a  promise to get even better. If you love science-fiction and well as a dash of romance this book could be the book for you. Tons of  action-packed moments ,but then sweet moments come into play at the same time. Since I have never read a Science-fiction / romance before and to tell you the truth I think this was the perfect book to pop my cherry. *grins* I'm really looking forward to reading more in this series. Nico Rosso definitely gives something a little different to the romance genre and I really cant wait to read more from him.

I had no problem loving Rock Hard. The tension between Sed and Jessica was mind blowing. They had the typical issues that provides just more than tension, but a sexual chemistry that will keep you begging for more. Cunning surprised me with Sed and Jessica's wild ways. The situations were so unbelievably hot, I even had to fan myself. The hooking up in public places were not only hot, but gave us a deeper look into them as a couple. 

Sed and Jessica are a much more complex couple then Brian and Myrna were in the first book. These two have a messy past and trying to see if they can make it whole again will take you for a loop.But the overall flow of Rock hard was a . Nothing in this story was predictable and for that I was hooked. Cunning delivers plot excitement throughout the entire story. 

I liked Rock Hard, but to be honest I am really looking forward to lusting after Jace in his book. Thanks to Cunning who decided to drop in some yummy hints about Aggie and Jace! *Swoons*  Hopefully he will be next in the series because Jace is totally full of yumminess... right Bells?!?

Review:

Larissa Ione has a new series out and it's not only dark and exciting but hot and adventurous. Her Demonica series was not just mouthwatering but quickly became one of my favorites. I was super excited to find out this new book would be set in the same world as Demonica. Please welcome the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Ares (War), Reseph (Pestilence), Thanatos (Death), and the only female in the group, Limos (Famine). Each of the Horsemen have a Seal and each Seal comes with two prophecies. The goal will be keeping these seals intact so the end of the world doesn't come. Unfortunately, that might be a little too late for  Reseph. His Seal has broke and this brother is now causing disease and plagues all across the world. Can he be stopped in time?
 

Cara has the secret ability to heal animals, although she is not a practicing vet she tries to help and is thrown into a whole new world when an injured dog is brought to her doorstep. Just to add to this mess she then comes to find out, well, this isn't just a regular dog. Of course not it is a hellhound. Since she has no idea what in the world a hellhound actually is, but he bonds with her. Ares’ seal is passed over to Cara. Normally humans arent strong enough to carry Seals, but since she is now bonded to the hellhound, she is alive for the time being and Ares must make sure Cara stays that way. If not and his Seal is to break, he will become War and the world as she has come to know it will never be the same.  

Getting into this book way never an issue. It was the same world but different main characters who by the end of book I loved. These new characters are not only interesting but I loved that they had a good and bad side to them. And you get to see both sides. *squee* As in any new book of series the information and rules are very detailed and tend to overwhelm you while you are trying to get lost in this world. Even though a lot of information is thrown at you, I loved how you are reminded through out the book so you never can forget what they are. Once you pass through the beginning of the book it turns into smooth sailing from there and you wont be able to put down this tasty treat.

 
I loved Ares! I mean the way his character is and comes undone with Cara was not only sweet but sigh worthy. He for sure had his swooning moments. The build up to their relationship was not overly done and just perfect. The sex scenes are hot. I also loved that the characters from the Demonica series  made some guest appearances. That was a great treat getting to see them and how their lives have turned out since that series ended.

I will have to recommend this book to everyone. It was a breath of fresh air. Larissa Ione never disappoints and she will have you hooked. I cant wait for the second book in the series Immortal Rider which is set to release December 2011.

Review:

Tara Daniels has finally settled into Lucky Harbor six months after returning. Even though she was thrown into meeting her other two sisters, they are determined to make this Bed & Breakfast work where they can live and and work together. Ford Walker made a career being a winning Sailor. Has has the talent to take on anything he wishes, but he wants to stay in Lucky Harbor. The heat between him and Tara is still very much alive as it was 17 years ago. Convincing Tara wont be a walk in the park and is much easier said than done.

When Tara’s ex-husband shows up in town claiming he wants her back, she no longer has one man trying to win her heart back but two. Can true love conquer all? .

In the first book, Simply Irresistible, I wasn't a big fan of Tara, but towards the end I was hooked. She had a past that she was still hiding. Tara is a difficult character to like because she can be bossy, controlling, a tad pushy and wants everything to be in order. Ford is messy and tends to embrace the day for what it is. Total opposites attract, right?!

Oh yes, I enjoyed Ford very much. This green eyed sailor will grab you hook, line, and sinker. Actually, I mostly enjoyed their team work in trying to solve some past and present issues with their lives. They had to learn to trust each other and realized that they both bring something special to each other.

I absolutely loved this book. Jill Shalvis brings an entertaining spin to Lucky Harbor. I have never laughed and cried so much in a book before. Ford will having you swooning and sighing all over the place. You get a chance to feel what Tara and Ford are feeling from the moment you open the book. Not only do you wonder what will happen in the long run, but a surprise is thrown in that will keep you flipping the pages faster to get to the outcome.To be honest, I still haven't had enough of Ford and Tara.

One thing I know for sure, Jill Shalvis never disappoints. She brings you a hot, sweet, fun, and romantic story. I really don't think it gets any better then this. Shalvis is simply irresistible and original. All in all, I really enjoyed this book and the ending left the biggest smile on my face. I truly hope it will leave one on yours as well.

What a crazy Month

I don't know about everyone else but this month I totally slacked on posts. I am hoping April will be a better month all in all. For the last few days of March I will try and step it up :)

 Hi Katy!! Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I live  on the South Coast of England with my husband  and golden retriever Lily.  I started off as a singer, studying opera but going into cabaret.  It meant a lot of touring and traveling abroad but I missed my boyfriend terribly.  So I I went back studying and obtained degrees in psychology, philosophy, religion and mysticism.  It became  my life’s passion.  Over the years, whilst treating people I would sometimes use creative writing as a cathartic technique, where they would write down their fears, their life history and so on. Gradually I became very involved and immersed and began writing myself. So the clients really helped me to begin writing again. 

WOW!!! When did you know you really wanted to be a writer?

 

Way back in my childhood. I have always written.  I used to write fairy stories for my sister when we were children and she was in a sanatorium for T.B almost every winter.   Throughout my studies and career I would always scribble away at night or on holiday. 

Do you actually write full time or do you something else as well?

Yes and have done so for the past six years. 

That's great!!Why don't you tell everyone about your upcoming release?

I am so excited about this.  This is a thriller with  romance and science fiction interwoven along with prehistoric beliefs and sexual rituals.  In 2065 the bodies of young women are found covered in putrefying snakes with an ancient relic wedged beneath their feet. A note is also left telling the police that other women have been abducted. The police are horrified but also puzzled as to why are some of the young women are murdered whilst others are abducted?

 The hero, Ben Tobin, a Super Cop is an enigma, his identity known only to the few.  He is working undercover for MI8 who exact a terrible price from him - perfection.  Any defects physical or mental spell liquidation. To his horror he develops a phobia of the snakes involved in these grisly murders.  He dare not let MI8 find out.  Desperate he turns to Dr. Lucy Roberts, a rebel in her own field of psychology.  He has to take the chance she will not report him. On finding out his true identity Lucy is repulsed and reluctant to treat him. Ben pleads with her, explaining that he suspects the abducted women are being forced to become sacred prostitutes, sexual slaves in the rituals of a sinister snake cult that follow a prehistoric Goddess.  Lucy relents and they also join forces to solve the secret of the relic which could lead Ben to the cult.  In their fight to save the women, they are drawn into a love-hate relationship. The chase takes them to the dawn of civilization – to the root of Ben’s phobias and a clue to the whereabouts of the victims. 

WOW! Sounds so different and interesting. I cant wait to get my hands finally on it! When is the release date?

How did you come up for the idea of this book?

The idea came from my work. As a psychologist I treated people for neuroses and phobias.  Phobias can be shocking, destroying  a person’s life, their relationships, careers and self-confidence.  I did initially think of writing up fictitious cases based loosely on the conditions I treated, but found that just basing it solely on clients and treatments  it became quite repetitive – it just didn’t bite.    I then hit on the idea of a policeman having a phobia – the flawed hero.    As I have a fear of snakes, I wondered how he would cope if he had to work with the snakes in a murder investigation.  It developed from there. 

Can you tell us a little bit about the hero and heroine? You have me so curious!!

 Ben Tobin is an enigma and his identity is revealed in the fourth and fifths when he is interviewed by Lucy..  He is fighting for the freedom to live and love – to be able to reveal his true identity and be accepted for what he is.  When meeting Lucy, because of what he is, Ben’s personality is almost cold, distant, his whole life is centered around bringing justice to his victims. Sexually he is driven only by lust but yearns to find out what love is. Lucy is the key to  Ben developing beyond what and who he is.

Lucy is a wounded physician. Carl Jung did claim that only the wounded can truly help the suffering.  Lucy is highly sexual, vulnerable yet can be feisty.  At one point Ben thinks she is as mean as her cat. Although repulsed with what Ben truly is, she is smitten, desiring him on sight, falling for his dark hair, sculpted body and startling eyes. During  their stormy relationship Lucy unfolds to Ben that she was the victim of violence.  This holds her back from entering into any full relationship.  It is through Ben that she finds release.

Very. Already I have the ideas for the next two books and can’t wait to get started on them.

Animal Magnetism (Animal #1) by Jill Shalvis

I have never had many favorite authors, but I have to say Jill Shalvis is truly one of my favorite. She never fails to make me laugh, cry and drool in every book she writes. For some reason not only does she always write the perfect romance but she always has the best alpha males. Ever.

"Co-owner of the town's only kennel, Lilah Young has lived in Sunshine, Idaho, all her life. Pilot-for-hire Brady Miller is just passing through. But he soon has Lilah abandoning her instincts and giving in to a primal desire. Lilah Young is the owner of a kennel and she is  having trouble keeping the kennel a float. She also rescues strays and is taking classes to finish her degree in veterinary science.

Brady Miller has been in special forces for many years. Now he is a pilot for hire and decides to take a month off to help out his brothers, Adam and Dell. They have a used helicopter they want Brady to repair and fly, but that's that not all they want, they also want him to live there and work with them.

Brady's truck is rear- ended by Lilah jeep. *oops*  The attraction immediate, but can Brady resist Lilah charm? Maybe convince him to stay around?

Jill Shalvis brings you a funny and  endearing novel. Animal Magnetism is not only fun but warm. I absolutely loved it. I think Jill brings a special magic to her books that you get attached and just as invested to all her characters.

The characters were all very well written and I loved how each and everyone of them flowed and interacted so well together. Lilah eats junk food and swears, but its is a guarantee you will fall in love with her. Brady is a loner, and a sexy as hell alpha male. *fans self*  They are really actually perfect for each other. *sigh, I totally wanted Brady*  Even the side characters captured my interest in so many ways. I am super excited to get to read about Dell and Adam and what will be in store for these two hot guys.

One of my favorite parts of the story is when he get twinkles. It just captures your heart. When Brady takes care of him made it made me laugh and want to help him figure it all out. Totally cute!

The plot was more then interesting, it was unique. I couldn't find it in myself to actually put this book down. Not that I could ever put down a Jill Shalvis book. Oh no no no I have to finish asap. She just has a way about her that the story can flow so well. I loved the whole animal spin and it wasn't only because I love all animals but I loved how she incorporated other animals who you never think as pets that also need some tlc.  

One thing I know for sure is that Shalvis never disappoints me. Ever. Her writing is not only unique, but her trilogies are fun, exciting, romantic, and the men are always swoon worthy. If you want a cute, romantic story this would be the book for you. I cant wait now until Animal Attraction, which is due out in October 2011. Get ready ladies I think this will be the year of Jill Shalvis and a few other new releases to get ready for. *fan girl scream*
