Release Day Blitz & Review: Her Touch for Alexa Riley

goodreads-badge.png

Eli Strong got out of the military and all he wanted to do was get better. He never expected that the officer he was living with would have a daughter who tested his honor.

Maggie Drummond has been moved around more times than she can count, and starting at a new high school sucks. But when a wounded Marine comes to live with her and her dad, suddenly Maggie figures out what home is.

She’s forbidden fruit, and he’s trying to not to taste… But desire can only be denied for so long. Circumstances keep pulling them back together, and something truly unforeseen happens. Overnight, Eli becomes a guardian and Maggie his ward.

Will Eli keep his hands off Maggie? Will Maggie like it if he doesn’t? Will the two of them break the law because it feels so good? Only one way to find out!

Warning: This book will make you ache in the best way possible! It’s so sweet it’s disgusting, and yet we just can’t stop. It’s a coming-of-age story that’s just what the author ordered. So eat up and enjoy!

Review:

After reading Everything For Her by Alexa Riley I knew I wanted to read more of their work so when I saw Her Touch I jumped right in and didn't want to put it down. Their heroes come off a little creepy and stalker-ish at first but once their stories start to take form I end up loving them and how sweet they actually are to go through all they do for the loves of their lives and Eli was one of those heroes.

Eli is a injured marine that really has no family but his commanding officer who has kept in touch and offers him a place to stay to get back on his feet. When he arrives at the house he finds Maggie who is in a difficult position and falls for her instantly but their is one problem... she is underage. As the time passes they both fall for one another but nothing happens and Eli buys time until Maggie turns 18.

I have to admit at first I was a little creeped out but then I started to think about when I was Maggie's age and I could understand their story from a different perspective. Her Touch had more drama then I actually expected and came to find some of it a little boring and unnecessary. The whole thing with the teacher was a even creeper because of her wanting to be with Eli.

Overall Her Touch was just an okay read for me but I am glad I read it. At the end their is a bonus story involving Maggie's friend which I really wasn't expecting but I liked that the stories brought everything together and filled in some details that were missing while reading Her Touch. If you love Alexa Riley you wont want to miss reading Her Touch.
