Review:
As much as i love the Dare siblings and cousins I didn't feel much of a connection between Max and Lucy.
Max has loved Lucy for a longtime but decided not to do anything about it. Instead he got married and lost his first wife. Now that Lucy is an a engagement party with her boyfriend he decides he wants her.
Lucy has always had a thing for Max and now that she is single again she plans to take advantage of it. But her fears of people leaving and dying is something that she can't over that easy so Max has his work cut out for him.
I thought this story was a little rushed and more things could have happened between them. I wanted to see them interact more instead of hearing time went by and nothing happened. I'm not sure if it's because this book is shorter then a full length novel but I had a hard time understanding and seeing them as couple.
The more time they spent together the more I saw them together but then they would retreat and that made the story and the couple on the weak side for me.
I hope the next book is written differently and brings back the Dares I originally fell in love with.
