Melissa Schroeder is still new to me but the way her creativity came out in this novella which made it a differently hot read. It is filled with adventure, suspense and romance.
Lou is a bounty hunter who has one assignment left before she can return to earth. Her boss, Jared gives her the task to catch Sam. Jared has not only been Lou's boss for 10 years but has been in love with her. He didn't think she was ready so he has kept it to himself.
Sam is undercover on an assignment when he meets the sexy Lou and he has to have her. Sam never thought he would end up handcuffed and her prisoner. Even though he has been captured it doesn't change the fact that he still wants her and believes their connection is the real deal.
At first I had a hard time getting into the story because it started out a little slow but when it picked up I started enjoying the ride. The history between the characters made it an excellent read. This world that Schroeder built was interesting. And I loved the twists that were thrown in through out the story.
I loved how Sam and Jared's characters were and it is true that opposites do attract. To be honest Lou needs both of them in here life because they both bring something to the table for her. The scorching sex scenes will have you turning down your ac to make it cooler for you.
I just wished it was a little longer. I felt like their was more to this story that wasn't told. Overall, I really got into this story and I am looking forward to the future releases of Melissa Schroeder. Happy Reading!!
