NOT QUITE PERFECT
Not Quite Series, Book Five
Montlake Romance, Contemporary
September 20, 2016, First Edition
Paperback & Kindle

With true love, there’s no such thing as a safe distance.
Mary Kildare knows how to read people. It’s both why she makes a great therapist and why she refuses to trust the average bachelor. Staying fiercely independent has been her primary relationship strategy—until wealthy playboy pilot (and commitmentphobe) Glen Fairchild reappears in her life. After a yearlong teasing tug-of-war, Mary and Glen test the waters of attraction, only to find that their physical chemistry runs deeper than flirtation.
At first, a bicoastal romance suits them both—especially since Glen can swoop in and whisk Mary away on one of his company’s planes. But no matter how close they get, they’re still three thousand miles apart. And when Mary’s life is threatened, Glen realizes the one luxury he doesn’t have is time. Can he close the distance between them before it’s too late?

Review
I came this series purely by accident one day but I am so glad I ended up reading it. Ms. Bybee writes dreamy romances with a little twist. Not Quite Perfect takes Glen, the playboy pilot and Mary who is a therapist to new heights. These two met a year ago and exchanged numbers but neither made the first move. When their mutual friend goes into labor it gives Glen the opening he has been looking for. Although dating will be a little on the rough side Glen knows Mary is worth. So what if he has to fly from the East to the West Coast.

I thought this book had a fairytale feel to it. He is well of and the CFO of his families company and while Mary might not be poor she cant just jet off whenever she wants to plus she has patients to see. When someone starts targeting Mary, Glen is there not only for emotional support but also physical support. I really liked Glen and thought he was a great guy. He might have come off a little cocky at first but the way he was with Mary was dreamy and swoon worthy. I mean this man flies across the country just to date her! I kept saying to myself if she doesn't want him I would take him in a heartbeat.

On top of the romance, Ms. Bybee adds a little suspense which flows together nicely. Its not overly done but she gives just enough to make it interesting. The characters were different yet I could feel how deep their connection was growing the more time they spent with one another. The previous characters in this series make appearances which I was glad for but don't worry Not Quite Perfect could be read as a standalone. Overall, I enjoyed this addition to this series and I am hoping more books are coming in the future.
