ONE LITTLE LIE. A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE.
RUN TO YOU
Risking it All #1
Rachel Lacey
Releasing Aug 30th, 2016
Forever
Moments after meeting the most gorgeous guy ever, Gabby Winters promptly gets stung by a zillion yellow jackets and falls-not gracefully-into a stream. Yup, Ethan Hunter is trouble with a capital "hot," and Gabby definitely needs to keep her distance. Except in the small town of Haven, there's nowhere to hide from Ethan's sexy, infectious grin . . . and all the residents are conspiring against her.
At the center of the town's matchmaking is Ethan's grandmother, who's convinced their relationship is a done deal. Rather than break her heart, Gabby and Ethan find themselves cornered into pretending to be falling in love. The problem: there's serious sizzling attraction between them. And if this charade continues, they won't fool just the entire town - they might fool themselves too . . .

Review:
Run to You is the first book in the new series, Risking It All by Rachel Lacey and what a treat it was. From the very first few chapters I could tell right away I was going to like characters and the storyline. I swear as soon as I received this book I didn't put it down or do wash like I was supposed to be doing it was just that good.
In this first book we meet a hottie named Ethan who is tall, a former Olympic swimmer (so cool) and is now going into business with his two childhood friends in opening Off-the-Grid Adventures. He's pretty much a ladies man and doesn't do relationships but after he meets Gabby he knows he wants her but he also needs her help. Dixie, his grandmother is dying and one of her last wishes is to see him settled so her offers Gabby a fake relationship only the more time the spend together the more real it seems.
Gabby was freaking awesome, not only was she beautiful and smart but she was a bit lost since her last relationship. Coming to Haven, NC was to help her find herself again and she is definitely not looking for a relationship but when she comes face to face with her ex Ethan's fake relationship deal is sounding better and better and before she knows it things are moving fast but she can't help herself.
The development of the fake relationship went smoothly and only contained a few bumps for the characters. Gabby and Ethan actually took the time to get to know one another before they ended up in the bedroom which was a big plus in my book.
Run to You had some humor that I couldn't help chuckle at, but it also was a very emotional read. I found myself getting all watery during certain parts and honestly for me that just makes a romance novel even better and trust me Lacey brought out all the stops in this one.
Each and every character was likable during the story. I seriously couldn't find one I didn't like well except Gabby's ex but exs are meant to be not liked in this situation. They were well developed and right away you can see some of these characters having their own stories that need to be told. All of the characters were believable and Lacey really brought them to life page after page.
The sex scenes were on the tame side and I didn't care one bit. I was honestly focused more on the story and the romance I didn't even notice or mind that it wasn't hot and heavy and filled with dirty words.
While the fake relationship stories have been done a few times I really enjoyed the spins and journey that this couple went through. They had instant attraction and chemistry and I just couldn't help but to be drawn to them and they just worked as a couple.
I really enjoyed reading Run to You and I can't wait to see whose story will be next and how they get together. This series has a lot of promise and a lot of interesting characters I'm dying to know more about. If you're looking for a fun, sweet and emotional read I would absolutely add Run to You to your reading list.
