No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon
I am a big fan of the Dark Hunter series and OMG, Sherrilyn Kenyon did not disappoint in her latest release No Mercy. Hooked from start to finish and I couldn't have asked for more.
"Live fast, fight hard and, if you have to die, then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there’s a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she’s ever faced before.
Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power--one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.
The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the universe as we know it."
The plot was amazing. It starts where Bad Moon Rising leaves off with one battle and No Mercy starts with part two of the battle, with some same key players along with some new ones that I look forward to hearing from in the future. Dev and Sam were two very strong characters that I just couldn't get enough of. They were such an amazing couple, and in reading their story, you could truly feel the emotion between the two.
Dev definitely needed a woman who could take his charm and dish it right back to him. And lucky for Dev he found that all in Sam. Sam, who is a heroine that was strong, a warrior, and to top it off she wasn't afraid to show her feelings. Their attraction to each other was instant.
No Mercy was interesting! I was glad it wasn't a simple plot it kept the book going for me. I just couldn't put it down. A little upset that I read it too fast and I couldn't make it last until the next book released but who can blame me when it comes to the yummy Dark Hunters/ Were Hunters.
I can see this book is just another stepping stone for the battle that is ready to come. You also got a look into the curse Apollo inflicted on Stryker's people and how he really felt about it. While Sam looks into how to break the curse , readers will enjoy getting new information and how things turned out for some previous characters in the series.
Overall I was left satisfied with is book. I believe everyone should enter the world of the Dark Hunters and hold on for the amazing ride Sherrilyn Kenyon has created. Now I can not wait for the next installment, Redemption, to see how this battle will play out.
