Blurb:
I was a woman on a mission. I wanted to be.... Somewhere I belonged.

My life as a small town gal kept me cautious, but I wanted to go travel the world, be free and not stuck in a bubble. I traveled through the states and kept moving until I got to Vegas. Flashing lights, casinos and the man in Armani who made traffic stop with his sparkling smile… A smile I quickly learned belonged to the devil.

Not anyone else’s devil – he was my devil.

Then, my world came to a crashing halt one night – the night my life went from dangerous to ready to flatline.

On the ride of my life, I went back to the past I’d abandoned years before. Back to the past that has never been the past. It could have been the present but I was too stubborn to see it.

I'm running back to the arms of safety.

To the arms I should have never left.

Last night I was out with the boys. A night out, drinking - only one beer for me, since I was on duty the next morning - and a few tables of pool. Trevor, his brother Peter, and a few others were yucking it up at a scratch I made when Drew came barreling into the bar. The look on his face made me move from the table and meet him halfway. What in the hell had happened now? Everything had been quiet here over the last couple of years. Ever since his then girlfriend - now wife - Dani Lynn had been kidnapped. Quiet was good. That look said shit was about to get real though.
“What’s that look for?” I asked as he looked around at the faces in the bar. My brow arched and when he looked at me, I saw that look. I had seen it before. “What? Has something happened at my mom and dad’s?”
“No,” again, he scanned the room. “It’s your sister…”
“Alana?” my voice rose as my gut clenched? “What happened? Is she okay?”
“Alana is fine,” he paused as I stepped closer. “Charlie, it’s Anna. Dani Lynn needs you at the center. That’s all I- She’s with Anna… and she’s hurt. That’s all I know.”
“Anna?” I turned to see Trevor standing there, his face a hard wall of nothing. The boy was good at hiding shit, but I saw that look in his eyes. He still loved her. I knew that much. He’d said it before, but until that moment, I hadn’t seen it.
“I’ll be right there,” I said as I turned and lunged past Trevor, grabbing my shit from the table and jogging out to my bike. “Go, Drew, I’ll meet you there.”
Drew nodded and slipped into the car. I took a deep breath and called my dad. As the phone rang, Trevor and Peter came out. They stopped while I waited for someone to pick up. No answer. I cursed and slid my phone into my pocket. I looked up at them.
“If you’re coming, hurry the fuck up,” I said, starting up my bike. I revved it a minute before pulling out onto the road. The three block ride took only minutes. Thank God. My heart was racing as I ran up the walkway. When I hit the door I saw Mama Jay there, a deep frown on her chubby face. She opened the door and let us in. We followed Mama Jay down the back hallway towards the office and exam area. My heart was already thudding, but it skyrocketed when I saw Dani Lynn with tears on her cheeks, covered in blood. “What happened?” I asked her as I stopped before her.
“I-I don’t know,” she swiped at her eyes and put on her game face as she looked up at us. She glanced from me to Trevor and back to me. When I nodded she continued. “I was leaving to head home,” she sighed. “I saw someone stumbling down the sidewalk. When she collapsed I ran to her… there was blood everywhere…” she shook her head and I rested my hand on her shoulder.

I’m a Carolina Girl by right and a Texan by birth. Best of both worlds. I have the brass sass to keep up with my Texas sized temper. Living and working in both states i’ve learned a lot about hard work, adapting to your surroundings and making the best of the path that you have been led down. My grandma Dollie once told me I would know what I was meant to do when it happened. She was right, as always.
As with most book lovers, I am an avid reader. Reading has always been a hobby - a passion, really and a way to get lost in other people’s lives, their drama and other worlds. It’s a private movie in your imagination that you get to cast and navigate through, at your own pace. Reading helps to expand the perimeters of one's mind. That is what got me into writing. Writing has been something that I have done since I was a kid. If I had paper, I was writing. Nine out of ten times it made no sense but what are words if they are not to be used to your advantage? Words are a part of us all. Why not use them, right?
During the day I work as a ‘desk jockey’ and help the residents of my county navigate themselves around our little, but not too little country town. By night I am either blogging with my best friends, doing PA work for some of my favorite authors or fighting with the voices in my head. They can be stubborn at times. It’s a blessing and I am cherishing every moment. Tomorrow is never guaranteed so I want to make sure I live the day as fully as possible. For what is my creation, can become someone else's treasure.

Spotlight: Last Dance by Jeffe Kennedy

Blurb
It was five minutes. His hand on the small of her back. His eyes watching like there was no one else in the crowded club. His body a breath away from hers. A kiss full of heat and need and promise.

But then the stranger disappears. And Charlotte Emory can’t forget him. Worse, according to the dating Rules she and her four best friends swear by, all she can do is post an ad online. No names, no numbers. Just a missed connection – and the hope he’ll meet her, and see where another dance leads.

Except Mr. Mystery has his game, too, and he isn’t playing for only one night. He tempts Charley into a daring exploration of power, lust, and suspense, where even the most innocent requests sound indecent…and the indecent ones make her burn all night.

If she plays by the Rules, they’ll never get past teasing each other. But rules were made to be broken…

~ 1 ~

The problem with martinis is, although they look and taste fabulous—plus low carb, if done right—the steep slope of the glass makes them easy to spill. Disaster in the making.

            Particularly on the second round.

Being a cautious sort, if only in this arena, I sipped at mine before taking another step and used the opportunity to survey the club’s offering of masculine company. And to let them get a good look at me. Take the spotlight when you can because there’s always someone meaner ready to upstage you. The bright bounce of lights glanced off a good set of shoulders here—and ooh, a very nice ass in black jeans there. A table of guys gave me a long look as I passed and I pretended not to notice, though the dark-haired one could be a possible.

“Any likelies?” Amy asked, taking the fresh drink from me as I got to our table, blowing me a kiss of thanks. She wore a lacy black sheath she’d designed in her spare time and made from remnants at her job—and she made it look like couture, the talented bitch.

I set down my own glass. “Nobody stands out as fabulous. But the table over your right shoulder might have potential.”

“The night is young,” Ice observed, scanning the dance floor below with dark eyes. She’d refused another round, as had Julie. Both of them still nursed their first drink, though Ice—Anaisa, though only her professors called her that—was theoretically not supposed to drink alcohol. She made a regular practice of doing all the things her family disapproved of, which was fairly easy since most of them lived elsewhere, some of them in India. Marcia didn’t drink at all and she clutched her seltzer, clearly wishing to be at home. It was a rare Friday night that I didn’t have a show, Julie wasn’t slaving in her restaurant, and everyone else was free, too, so we’d talked Marcia into coming out with us instead of staying behind in our empty house. But no one could force her to have fun.

Believe me, I’d tried. My own personal sacred mission. Saint Charley, that’s me.

“I gave the bartender Marcia’s number though,” I added, because I couldn’t resist. The girl needed poking. “He said he wanted a virgin sacrifice for some shamanistic ritual.”

“Oh, ha ha.” Marcia at least transferred her black look from the seltzer to me. “There’s nothing wrong with saving myself.”

“Saving is economical.” Amy nodded, making a serious face.

“A virtue, even.” Julie licked off the end of the plastic gecko tail the Lizard Club used for drink stirrers. “Unless you count hoarding. Then it turns ugly.”

“Oh my god. That show is riveting.” Ice shuddered. “I’m horrified but I can’t look away. Even in reruns.”

“It’s a disease.” I deflected Marcia’s glower of warning with my best Julia Roberts angelic smile. It’s a good one. I’ve practiced it. “You can’t judge people like that—just give them your compassion and try to help. Or refer them to social services.”

“Charlotte Emory, I’m going to crawl across this table and strangle you if you don’t shut up,” Marcia growled.

I batted my lashes at her. “What? I’m just trying to help.”

“Well, you’re not. I’ll find the right guy sooner or later.”

“Sooner is more likely with you pried out of the house,” Ice noted.

“And later than anyone we know,” Amy toasted her with a martini already half gone.

“Than the rest of the known universe.” Julie poked Marcia with the gecko tail, which at least diverted Marcia’s attention onto her.

“I hate all of you.” Marcia folded her arms. “Why don’t you go dance already?”

“Hello, ladies.” Ooh, right on cue, Mr. Dark Hair had come through. His gaze fell on me and I returned his very charming smile. “Wanna dance?” he asked me.

Yes. Yes, I did.

Excerpt & Giveaway: CRAVE ME by Cecy Robson

It’s time for the sole sister in the family to discover love.

CRAVE ME
O'Brien Family #3
Cecy Robson
Releasing Feb 28, 2017

RT Book Reviews proclaims that the O’Brien Family series from award-winning author Cecy Robson “has the hottest brothers ever!” And in Crave Me, it’s time for the sole sister in the family to discover love.

Wren O’Brien isn’t your typical female. As the only girl from a loud Irish family with seven siblings, she prefers fast cars to lip gloss and bad boys to good men. It’s the reason she’s nursing a wounded soul and keeping her distance from a dangerous ex.

Evan Jonah is running an empire and just moved from the lavish thoroughfares of London to the gritty streets of Philadelphia. When he walks into the nearest dealership, he’s expecting to find a reliable vehicle to handle the brutal winters, not a sexy female car rep with killer legs.

Wren doesn’t know why “Hotness in a Suit” asked her out. She doesn’t expect a great time or a night of passion that knocks her on her ass. But that’s exactly what Evan shows her.

She also never counted on how hard and fast she’d fall. But men like Evan—good men with even better hearts—don’t desire tough-talking Philly girls for long.

Evan has never met a woman like Wren. But he’s up for the challenge and ready to prove her wrong.

Excerpt:
“Get the hell out of here.”
Evan lowers his plastic menu, laughing softly at my remark. When he first walked into the dealership, I couldn’t quite figure him out. The sides of his cashmere coat parted when he moved, exposing what has to be a very pricey suit. But while he’s clean shaven, he’s not exactly clean-cut.
His dark wavy hair curls around his ears, long enough that I can tell he’s overdue for a trip to the barber, but not so long he appears unkempt. I take another long look at his straight nose, broad shoulders, and perfect posture. No, he’s not unkempt. He’s cute. Damn cute if you like pretty boys with deep green eyes with specks of gold and a jawline angels must have chiseled from granite.
“I’m serious,” he tells me, the way he looks at me taking him from damn cute to sexy. “I’ve never eaten a cheesesteak.”
I reach for the iPad tucked in the bag at my feet to give me an excuse to break away from those pretty eyes and thick lashes that curl at the tips. “So when I asked you if you wanted to go out for steaks, you weren’t picturing enough flat screens to fill a cruise ship and Yeung-Ling on tap?”
“Is Yeung-Ling a beer?” he asks.
I cringe, setting my iPad in front of me. “Oh, Evan, you have a lot to learn if you plan on staying in Philly for the long haul.”

Cecy Robson is an award-winning author of magical realms and to-die-for Alpha heroes. A double RITA® 2016 finalist for Once Pure and Once Kissed, and published author of more than sixteen titles, you can typically find her on her laptop or stumbling blindly in search of caffeine.

Guest Post : Midwinter Night's Delights by Kelli A. Wilkins

New Release: Midwinter Night’s Delights — Hot Historical/Fantasy Romance

By Kelli A. Wilkins

Hi everyone,

Today I’m highlighting the second book in my Naughty Nobles trilogy, Midwinter Night’s Delights. The series includes Midsummer Night’s Delights, Midwinter Night's Delights, and Ultimate Night's Delights. Although the books are connected, each stands alone as an individual read.

In a previous blog, I wrote about Midsummer Night’s Delights. This novella introduced readers to repressed newlyweds, Julian and Annabelle. They are strangers trapped in an arranged, sexless marriage. To loosen them up, Julian’s father sends them to the Marquis of Demby’s estate to attend a Midsummer Ball. (And this type of ball isn’t for dancing!)

The second book in the series, Midwinter Night’s Delights, picks up six months after the last story and follows the continuing sexual adventures of Annabelle and Julian. (And yes, this novella is just as hot—if not hotter— than the first one.)

In the sequel, we discover that Annabelle and Julian have taken what they’ve learned and gone wild. Ever since the Midsummer Ball, they have been overindulging in all sorts of lewd activities. Instead of being shy and repressed, they are more than eager to give in to their desires whenever (and wherever) the mood strikes—even if it’s at a formal dinner party. Needless to say, Julian’s father sends them back to Vincent’s estate to be disciplined and learn self-control.

Although they have been invited to the Midwinter Ball, there’s a catch. Before Sabrina and Vincent allow them to participate, they need to learn how to control their insatiable appetites and undergo certain “punishments” along the way.

So, how did this sequel come about? At the end of Midsummer, I left the door open to a follow-up story, hoping that readers would want more. And they did! Readers and reviewers were interested in learning more about the characters and seeing what other erotic escapades awaited them.

Some people wanted a prequel—a story devoted to how Sabrina and Vincent met and where they learned to play their wicked games. Others wanted a follow-up story to find out what happened to Annabelle and Julian and wondered if they would still play games with Vincent and Sabrina.

This story satisfies both camps. I let Sabrina explain her sexual history and how she became educated in playing naughty games. Julian and Annabelle learn about self-control as they become Vincent and Sabrina’s submissives and take their “punishments” in stride.

Midwinter Night’s Delights is more intense than the first book. From the outset, readers know that Julian and Annabelle are learning lessons and being disciplined—but it’s all for their own good. I even sprinkled in some BDSM throughout the story to make things very interesting.

And what about the third book? At the end of Midwinter, I saw the potential for another, final, chapter in the saga. I’ll share more about Ultimate Night’s Delights in another blog, so stay tuned.

Here’s the summary and a spicy excerpt:

Midwinter Night’s Delights

Julian and Annabelle are back for another naughty ball!

The Marquis of Demby’s Midsummer Ball transformed Julian and Annabelle forever. No longer shy about satisfying their sexual urges, the young newlyweds give in to their wanton desires whenever—and wherever—the mood strikes. Anything goes in their open marriage, and they’re not ashamed to share their passions with others.

But everything changes when they are sent to Vincent and Sabrina’s estate to be disciplined. Before they can participate in the Midwinter Ball, they must learn self-control. Carnal punishments and sensual lessons are just a few of the erotic surprises awaiting them… before the ball even begins!

Bonus! This e-book includes a sneak peek at the third book in the Naughty Nobles trilogy: ULTIMATE NIGHT’S DELIGHTS.

A spicy excerpt:

“Wake up, Julian.” Someone was touching his bare chest. He grunted. Was it that horrible woman again? He couldn’t bear to hump her one more time. His poor penis felt like it was worn down to a nub. Someone squeezed his balls, and he snapped awake. Sabrina stood over him holding a bed tray.

“Good morning. Did you sleep well?”

“Yes, I think so. The servant washed me and tied me to the bed. Then I fell asleep. I was exhausted after servicing your dinner guest.”

“Good. She had nice things to say about you. She said you were a good screw, and she wanted to have more time with you, but we had to refuse. Annabelle got an excellent report, too. The man she was with wanted to buy her.”

His heart skipped a beat, and he sat up, his arms jerking against his restraints. “Buy her? You didn’t. You wouldn’t. Where is she? I want to see her, now. She’s my wife.”

“Don’t worry.” Sabrina dismissed his concern with a wave of her hand and uncovered his tray. “She’s with Vincent. Why are you pretending to be concerned about her?”

“I’m not pretending,” he argued. “She’s my wife. I have a duty to protect her. I love her.”

Sabrina tittered. “Is that why you screwed her in public? To show the world how much you love her? Did you pass her around to the gardener to show him how eager she is, or because you like to watch?”

“It wasn’t like that. We were having playing games. You and Vincent do it.”

“Yes, but our games are not reckless, they’re controlled.” She unfastened one of his arms and handed him a fork. “Eat while you can. You’ll need your endurance for later.”

He ate an egg and a slice of toast before he spoke. “Later? Aren’t the punishments over?”

Sabrina sat on the edge of the bed. “No, not yet. Perhaps this afternoon you will have passed your tests and can be rewarded. But for now, you are still being disciplined. You do seem more docile this morning. Did having Lono’s spike up your ass break you down?”

“No, humping Annabelle with my prick on fire did. Why did you make me do that?”

“You like plowing your wife in front of other people at parties. I thought you’d enjoy it,” she replied, smirking.

“Don’t mock me.” He sipped his tea. Despite Sabrina’s elegant beauty and grace, she had a cold streak running through her.

“It was part of your punishment. Did you learn anything?”

“Yes, that I hated it. Those people talked about us like we were being judged in a horse show. Then we were given away as party favors.” He shook his head. “I had no control over what happened to me, or to Annabelle.”

Sabrina nodded. “Well, that’s a start. You’re learning, Julian. Just be glad it was you with Annabelle on the settee. Annabelle must be a tigress. That man offered a lot of money for her…”

“Stop saying that. She’s my wife. I love her.”

“Then prove it,” she barked. “Stop bending her over for every man you meet while you whack off. Stop asking her to suck cocks that you can’t suck.”

He bowed his head. Sabrina wasn’t one to waste words. She knew how to cut him down to the quick.

“You need to control yourself. You cannot go around taking Annabelle, or anyone else, just because you get hard. Your insatiable urges need to be calmed.”

“I think I am calmed,” he said, glancing at his groin. “My penis is sore from yesterday. I still haven’t climaxed, and my balls are as hard as rocks.”

She reached under the bedclothes and cupped his sac. “Oh my, they are full, aren’t they?”

Sabrina squeezed him, and he pressed his eyes shut. Was she going to torture him, or pleasure him?
