 Review
I believe all readers have "go to authors" for whatever they are in the mood for at the moment and Lauren Layne is one of those authors for me. She just doesn't write the same type of stories over and over but she comes up with new exciting stories that keep you up way your bedtime. So many exciting characters with different personalities and all the hot guys she writes about has me wanting to jump into every single story.

The Wedding Belles series is quickly becoming one of my favorite series of Laynes. To be honest when I started this series I didn't care for Heather as a main character but I did like her as a secondary one so when I found out she was getting her own book I said I would give her a try and I'm so glad I did. She was funny, driven and smart. She had all these dreams growing up and she stuck it out and is really close to making it all happen which I thought was really awesome.

Josh was Heather's opposite in so many ways. He had it all but after a health scare he gave it up to just do what he wanted and live more. At first with all the women coming and going I wasn't sure I was going to like him as the hero but once he started becoming friends with Heather and spending time with her I began to come around to him and by the end just loved him!

For Better or Worse was exactly what the title is about. It's about no matter what that the other person is there if your sick, sad, happy, or angry. Layne did a really great job at touching on all those emotions and the acceptance of what could happen.

I laughed, teared up and thought this story is one of those stories I'll re-read again in the future more then once to be honest. I'm already looking forward to the next story and truly can't wait! If you haven't met the Wedding Belles yet you are missing out on some kick ass heroines and the sexy men who win them over so pick up or pre- order them all today!

Review 
Lisa Marie Perry is a new author to me and Meant to Be Mine is the first book in what looks like an amazing series that is to come. Sofia is back in the small town she grew up in only to attend her Aunts funeral and after that she has every plan to go back home. There is just one little problem, her Aunt has left her everything. On top of having her Aunts possessions that she has to figure out what to do with she runs into her old friend Burke, and how they left things before Sofia left is all about to come out on top of all the feelings they have been holding back.

The writing was clear, fun and I really enjoyed this story. The plot was different and kept me wanting to know what else was going to happy and how Sofia would repair her friendship with Burke. This story was a little on the emotional side but not the type of story to bring you to tears. It was more of a sexy fun story that was filled with a few twists and turns along the way.


I also enjoyed the characters until the very end. Perry wrote them with such passion that even when they were arguing you could feel the spark between them. It was only a matter of time before they ended up together and believe me I was counting down the minutes. I loved how Burke would worry about Sofia after everything she had been through. He really stepped it up by not only being her friend but by showing her how much he did in fact love her now and then.

The secondary characters also did some standing out in Meant to Be Mine. We meet whole community that comes together to help one of their own. At first I didn’t understand why Sofia had never came back but once she started to open up I could see and understand her reasoning. Now that she is back it’s like she never left. Not only is she reconnected with new friends but also making new ones.


Is this a series I will keep up with? Yes, and already I am impatiently waiting for book to arrive on shelves. Perry brought this story to life and breathed in fresh air in the contemporary romance world. Are you looking for a story that is sexy and fun? Pick up Meant to Be Mine and get to know Burke and Sofia from the beginning.

Review 
Last Kiss of Summer is the first book in a new series by Marina Adair and I seriously fell in love with it. From the new and exciting characters to the storyline this has to be one of my favorite books this year. 

All Kennedy ever wanted was a home and love she thought she had that but when she finds her boyfriend with another woman all her dreams disappear. Packing up all her valuables she heads to her grandmother's house where she gets an offer she can't refuse. One of her grandmother's dear friends is selling her bakery and if Kennedy wants it. Traveling across the country to start a new life and make a home is hard enough as it is but when Luke shows up to buy the orchard that is home to the apples she needs to run the business things are about to get interesting. 

Luke is smoking hot and has this charm about him that just won me over. He's determined and a family man and I really loved how he wanted to help Kennedy yet he couldn't let his fathers last wishes go. Kennedy has the fire inside her to make Sweetie Pies even more of an success it is. I really loved her character and how determined she was. She was also hardworking, generous and had a lot of courage. 

I thought these characters had great chemistry and tension from the beginning. They are both attracted to one another but they can't let that get in the ways of each of their own goals. During the story I couldn't help but laugh at the things they did just to get one up on the other. I thought Adair was very creative with the things they did and it definitely added lots of humor and lots of fun to the story. 

The romance between Kennedy and Luke takes some time which was a plus for me. They were both trying to make their businesses work and trying to out do one another which actually gave them the time to get to know one another a little better before any bedroom time came into the picture. There are some love scenes that were done tastefully but also gave more details then I actually expected. They weren't overly done but showed actually how much these two were starting to care for one another. 

There wasn't a lot of drama which was also another plus for me. I was expecting the ex to come back in the picture at some point and something big to happen but this story was pretty straight forward and turned out to be a fun and flirty romance novel. The creativity that Adair showed in writing Last Kiss of Summer is what made it so special. 

All the characters were likable even the secondary characters. I had no problems with any of them and thought they were all well written and showed each and every personality that Adair wrote them with. This was a close knit town that comes together no matter what and I really loved that about Destiny Bay.  

The Destiny Bay series has a lot of promise and I can see it taking off. It might have a small town feel but the characters are fun and bring the story to life. Overall, I'm really looking forward to reading all the future books that will come. If you're looking for a fun, sweet romantic story that has humor and heart you won't want to miss out on Last Kiss of Summer!

​Natalie spun, and her eyes focused on her rescuer, getting a good look at him for the first time. His eyes were hard and fierce, and for a moment she regretted not listening to his demands that she run. She should be scared. This man was dangerous. “They can treat Amy,” I announced, staring blindly out the window. “It’s experimental stuff, but the doctors are going to do everything they can. It’s not too late.”

Mom breathed a sigh of relief, and I seemed to feel it more than see or hear it.

“Insurance won’t cover it, but I told Dr. Abrams that it wouldn’t be a problem.” I looked back over my shoulder at Mom, confused by the fearful look on her face. Her cropped black hair looked frazzled and worn, while her blue eyes, Amy’s eyes, shifted with terror and panic. “What? What is it?”

“Claire,” she cried, grabbing ahold of my wrist until I sat down in the chair beside her. “We can’t afford that. We don’t have the money.” The tears started up again, and I wanted to slap her for lying to me.

“What are you talking about?” I jerked at her shirtsleeve. “What do you mean we don’t have the money? Daddy left you a fortune!”

“Your father only left me with enough to live on until you girls came of age. That and the house.”

“Came of age?” I crossed my arms over my chest, while she dabbed her eyes with his handkerchief.

“The rest of your father’s wealth is in a trust fund that he set up especially for you girls. He wanted to take care of the two of you, maybe because he knew that I couldn’t.”

Wouldn’t was more like it.

“And why wasn’t I told about this? This mysterious trust fund?”

“Because you can’t access it until you turn twenty-one,” she clarified.

“My birthday’s next week,” I noted, stating aloud what we both already knew.

It was my twenty-first birthday to be exact.

“I know.” Her tears dried immediately, as she reached into her handbag to grab her phone. “I’ll call your father’s attorney. He drew up the contract. I think there were some other stipulations.”

“What do you mean?” My frustration resurfaced, while I watched her dial numbers on the LED touch screen. “What kind of stipulations?”

“In order to access all of the money in the trust…”

“Yeah,” I answered, nudging her on. “I have to be twenty-one. What else?”

“I think you have to be married, too.”

Married? How could that even be legal?

I sat down on the floor and held my head in my hands. Everything had happened too soon, making my world spin out of control. I penned a mental list in my head that summed up the main points of the day.

Amy was sick. And her condition, if not treated, was most likely fatal.

Insurance would not cover the experimental treatments, and Mom didn’t have the money to pay.
